S: the inequality between men and women
BC: thank you for reading hope you enjoyed every minute
FC: the two wings of one bird
1: The inequality between men and women decade through decade starting with the 1910s and finishing with 2012.
2: In the 1910s there was a Mexican womens revolution. This happened because the women felt like they were below all men. This also happened because women felt like they had no say politically. | I think that the Mexican woman did the right thing fighting the men for what they believed in using girl power | the 1910s
3: In the 1920s women did not get jobs because the day they got married they would be fired. Also they may not have like the jobs available to them. If a women did get a job it would be as a domestic servant, a nurse, a teacher or a secretary | I think that they fired a women the day after she was married because they thought that it was a womans job to cook and clean for her husband. | the 1920s
4: In the 1930s women television writers were disadvantaged compared to men. It did not matter about previous accomplishments, if a man had less experience then a women who was auditioning for the same job the man would get it. | I personally think that, this is not fair because if I had the ability to make a betterT.V. show then a man I would expect to get the job and not the man. No one should lose a job because of gender | the 1930s
5: The male-female status inequality increased in the 1940s. As well as female moralities were not well understood | I don't think that it was as bad as I thought it would be women just seamed to be misunderstood a lot of the time instead of being treated unfairly in some cases like telling her she belong in the kitchen that's just sexist | the 1940s
6: In the 1950s there were employment problems. Also there was a magazine published that said a mans conversation topics were more important then a womens and the most important part of a womens life was catering to her husband. | I think that this article is wrong in so many ways. The most important part of a womens life should be whatever she wants it to be not what a man tells her it is.
7: In the 1960s there was a womens movement which was called the equal rights amendments. This opened jobs for women. Not just regular jobs ether but jobs that were reserved for men only. This movement changed the way we think and talk about women | This was an amazing thing that the women of the 60s stood up for what they believed in. I want all women to feel that if they are being treated unfairly they will know that they have the right to stand up for themselves. | the 1960s
8: In the 1970s there was a feminist movement. I think this happened because their kids were coming home and telling their moms the word men was for both genders. | I think that if my daughter came home and told me that I would have to talk with the school board or whoever was in charge because I would not have them putting foolishness in to my kid's head | the 1970s
9: In the 80s the hourly wages were different for men and women even if they worked the same job and time. Wages for women were10%=6$,50%=11$,90%= 20$. wages for men were 10%=9$, 50%=18$,90$-=35$ | If I was a women in the 80s I would be pretty upset if I worked just as hard as any man and got less in pay because I was a woman. I think that they should have said something. | the 1980s
10: In the 1990s change is starting to occur when women are being employed with more job options. This only happened because of the brave women prior to this. | I think that the reason why I can still go to school and why I don't have to clean up after men is because of the amazing women generations past. | the 1990s
11: From 2001-2012 women have advanced a lot. Like the fact that there is a women sports league for every sport, even wrestling. That is a major accomplishment from when women could not even get a job that they wanted. | I don't think that there is any inequalities between men and women. Or if there is you don't see it as much as you would have if you lived in the olden days. | 2001-2012
