FC: The Life and Adventures of Roald Dahl

1: Roald Dahl was born on September 13th in Llandaff Wales. Dahl had a rough childhood with the loss of his father, and being sent to an unplesent boarding school.

2: Though he did get through it and at age 23 signed up to the royal air force in Nairobi. Dahl was posted in Iraq and would then fly to Libya's western desert to join his squadron.

3: Unfortunately he crashed his plane on the way to Libya, and was stranded for days. | After he was rescued Dahl got a ride to his squadron.

4: In 1942 Roald Dahl was asked to lunch by C.S Forester(A famous author). C.S Forester had inspired Dahl to write about his experiences in the war, and to share his input about it.

5: Some time after his meeting with C.S Forester ,Dahl started to go further in to his writing career. Dahl did so by writing books for adults and did so for fifteen years.

6: One day while Dahl was writing he was given advice by an unknown person that would help him his whole life. After that encounter Dahl began writing children's books.

7: Dahl was an author who liked to take his time on making every page perfect. Some times it would take him six months to finish the first page.

8: Dahl's children's books were his best work, though they were the hardest to write. He wrote most of those stories in a small hut to help him concentrate.

9: In that hut he wrote his mot unforgettable stories in his career. Most of those stories were derived from life experiences.

10: Dahl had to endure many tragedies in his life, from the death of his son, daughter, and his wifes stroke. After those tragedies he decided to help others in need.

11: He did so by teaching children how to read and write. Dahl also gave time and money to help the children in Italy and beyond who received poor education.

12: Near the end of his life Dahl started to get new hobbies, planting onions, making wine, and inventing medical devices. Roald Dahl died on November 23, 1990.

13: Roald Dahl was 74 years old when he died. Later doctors found that he died of a rare blood disorder called Myelo-dysplasic anaemia which is when bone marrow blood forming cells are prevented from producing. Which then weakens the immune system drastically

15: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Charlie Bucket is a poor boy who loved chocolite.

16: One day at the candy store he heard that wily Wonka was going to let five kids into the factory if they each find a golden ticket. Which will be located in a chocolate bar.

17: At first he had no luck. Disappointed he walks home, and out of the blue finds money on the ground. Charlie races back to the candy store and buys another chocolate bar. Inside is a golden ticket.

18: Charlie takes his grandpa to the factory. He, and the others go all over the factory and see the wonders. One by one the naughty ones get there punishments and leave Charlie is the only one left.
