1: Andrew Clements was born in Camden, New York in 1949. | Andrew was inspired to become a writer by his high school English teacher when she wrote "funny paper, you should get this published," on one of his assignments.
2: He graduated from NorthWestern and earned a master of arts in teaching at National Louis University. | Andrew got married his first year of teaching, bought a house, and had there first son.
3: After that he moved to another part of New York with his two year old son to fill his career as a song writer. | He taught at public schools in north of Chicago. 4th grade for two years, 8th grade English for three years and high school English for two years.
4: Andrew was fired from a lot of his jobs because of shortage, but mostly every time was rehired. He shortly after began writing children's books and picture books.
5: His first picture book was Bird Adalbert. | His first Christmas season book is called Santa's Secret Helper.
6: His first novel was Frindle published in 1996. Frindle is also his most popular book. | His works and progress includes Dogku and Things Hoped For.
7: Andrews first honor was the New York Public Library 100 Titles for reading and sharing list in 1996. His most recent award was the California Young Readers Medal in 2004 for The School Story.
8: He Has been nominated for multitude of state awards. | Clements has won the Christopher and Edgar Award.
9: He likes to spend his time in a small shed about 70ft from his back door. | He also likes to ride a bike, go hiking and play the guitar.
10: His favorite color is blue, from sky to lake. He also likes it because its his wifes color eyes. | His favorite food includes pizza and steak.
11: Clements is a writer, editor, and an educator. | Andrew also has a collection of pens. He doesn't store them, he actually uses them.
12: He loved to read back then, but never thought as an author. | Andrew admits that he was a show off in kindergarten because he already knew how to read and write.
13: Andrew now goes around to schools telling the kids about what an author is like. | he know has four, grown up kids of his own.

15: The book I have read is called No Talking. It is about the fifth graders at Laketon Elementary who have a reputation for talking. Especially a jabber jay named Dave Parker. He reads about Mahatma Gandhi and tries to be silent for one day. Until one day a girl named Lynsey Burgess shows up.
16: Dave bets Lynsey to see if boys or girls talk more. Lynsey agrees to the challenge. The rules were set to see what team talked less in two days. Dave and Lynsey were team captains and were also the score keepers.
17: Every word counted as one point. So the next day began. The teachers come all prepared with their megaphones, but today, they won't need them. In classrooms, teachers were confused about the silence, but some went with the flow. They made a rule that if teachers ask you a question, you can respond but only in three words. They also said singing wasn't talking.
18: So along the way there were many outburst and the score kept getting higher. Until the last few minutes before the game was over. Every kid is trying their best and time is up. The winner gets to put a giant L on the losers forehead with sharpie. So the winner is...
