7: World War II also had a big impact on America by ending the Great Depression. Because of the War, there were many new needs for production. One of the big problems in the Great Depression was the over-abundance of supply and the lack of demand. But with the materials needed for the war, there was suddenly a much larger demand on American Companies. They were having to employ people who had lost their jobs and were once again making money as both domestic and foreign militaries were buying materials for their armies. This helped the economy to recover from its slump and America started on the road to recovery. | Out of the Depression

9: Rosie the Riveter was a World War II advertising campaign to help advertise how people could be helping out on the home front. "Rosie" herself was a female worker in a bandanna who showed up in all sorts of posters and other ads. Basically the whole ad campaign was to help promote the growing job market that had opened up to the American public due to the War. People were needed to help with production of war materials in a big way. Women workers were especially wanted due to their ability to work for less than men. But it gave women a sense of pride that they were able to hold their own jobs while many of their husbands fought. | Rosie the Riveter
