1: One of our first dates was the Beijing Acrobats. We also saw a unique paper crane exhibit. | January
2: Omi is a friend of Julie's and fellowshipped Omi in her missionary discussions. Omi is from Shanghai and is a good friend. | Omi Yi Pan's Baptism | January
3: My coworkers: Crys, Rachel, Arielle,Kendra, Michelle Jessica, Alix, Professor Hudson, Julie, Andrea | I worked for the WomanStats Project for 2 years, from 2009-2011 as a Research Assistant. The WomanStats database is the largest in the world on the global situation of women. | In this position, I collected and coded thousands of data points about women in all the countries in the world. It opened my eyes to issues like FGM, sex ratio imbalance, domestic violence and other issues that women face around the world. I also gained a greater appreciation for my role as a daughter of God.
4: Hong Ye is a convert from China, and our Chinese teacher | Kurt and Julie taught the Kuan couple with the missionaries in the MTC | Livia and Kate, good friends from China. Kate was baptised | Kurt and Julie on a fun date to the BYU Chinese New Year festivity! Over 200 Chinese came to celebrate.
5: Happy Chinese New Year 2010 Year of the Tiger | Friends from China! | Amy and Shan, who were also dating at the time, also came to the party!
6: Kurt and Julie's first Valentines Day! | We went over to Jordan and Kelly's to make our traditional heart sugar cookies and a lovely dinner | February
7: The beginning of eternal love | We shared some special gifts - Kurt got me a CD and I got Kurt a CD! The day after Valentines Day, we had our first kiss.

9: Dianna White's wedding to Lance Larsen in the SLC Temple | Dianna, Julie's missionary companion, had a beautiful sealing. It inspired Kurt and Julie as they went ring shopping right after the ceremony! | March
10: A Proposal
11: On March 21st, Kurt made a proposal of marriage. We played some racquetball (in memory of our first date) ... | March
12: Then we went back to Kurt's apartment for some special surprises! One of the gifts was an engagement ring!
13: While Kurt was in Taiwan he bought Julie a beautiful traditional marriage fan. He also got Julie her favorite flowers - daisies and a frog salt and pepper shaker. Even the ring case was a frog! He brought us authentic Chinese food.

20: Easter 2010 | For Easter, Julie bought Kurt a new Sunday sweater. Kurt did not know about giving gifts ... but he got Julie beautiful flowers!
21: Goodbye to Kurt! | Shortly after our engagement, Kurt went to Nanjing China for a BYU Engineering Study Abroad. We had a picnic, and Julie gave Kurt a China kit full of things for his trip! | April
22: While Kurt was in China, I took a road trip with my friends Alisa and Nicole. We camped at moab and went mountain biking. | M O A B
23: It was my first time mountain biking. It was fun yet scary! I fell a few times. | We made it to a beautiful summit | April
24: One of my best friends, Amy Hill, was married to Shan in the Mt. Timpanogas Temple. I was her bridesmaid. | During this time, Emily and I threw a baby shower for Kelly, my sister-in-law. We made a diaper cake! | May/June
25: I had the opportunity to attend the Politics and Chinese Culture BYU Study Abroad. We were based in Beijing but traveled all over China. It was my first visit to China! I stayed in China June - August. | The first stop we made in China was on the grounds of the Forbidden City. At that sacred place, President David O. McKay dedicated China in 1921 for the preaching of the Gospel. Prof. Hyer read the dedication prayer. It was a special moment for me.
44: Before we were married,we met up in Washington. We went and enjoyed the beautiful northwest Salt Water State Park. We found a lot of fun animals and shells!
45: We went with Mom, Jill and her kids. We found sand dollars, conical shells, crabs and other little creatures.
46: Mt. Rainier | We went on a hike by Mt. Rainier called "Dead Horse Creek Trail." I wanted to show Kurt my back yard!

50: Happy 24th Birthday Julie! | Julie celebrated her Birthday with Kurt, Jason, Jaren and Melinda, JJ, Ryan, Chase, Kelly, Jordan and Ian and Amy and Steve. We had spaghetti and Birthday cake. Kurt got me a board game and Chase dropped my cell phone into my cake! | October
51: We attended our ward Halloween party with Jordan and Kelly. Julie was the ambassador to China and Kurt was her awesome (and handsome) bodyguard. Watch out China! | Jordan and Kelly were cavemen and Ian was their cute little dinosaur!

53: [Yosemite, CA - 6.22.2014] | We spent Thanksgiving in Southern Utah at Arches National Park with Kurt's family. It was beautiful and cold! | The Spectacular View
54: We saw a beautiful arch hidden in a small canyon covered in sand. The vistas were breathtaking. We enjoyed a unique and fun Thanksgiving! | ARCHES
