This is my story | Hello, thank you for reading this and allowing me to introduce myself. I understand what a difficult choice it must be to find a family for your baby. I hope this profile will make your decision easier and gives you peace of mind and comfort about your baby's future. I am single and always wanted to be a mom. I have spent a lot of time and thought on my decision to become a single mother by choice. I always assumed I would be married by now, although that hasn't happened, I know someday I will met "Mr Right", and it will be important to me that he shares my love and desire to have a family. You may be wondering how I could support a child as a single mom. I want to assure you I have given this lots of thought and planning. I am financially secure and I have a large extended family who are supportive of me and my decision to adopt.

Having children in my life has always been important to me and that is why I have chosen careers that revolve around children. After high school, I went to college and received a degree in early childhood development. I then became a nanny; a job I absolutely loved. I was a nanny for 11 years, eight of which with my last family. While I was a nanny, I went to nursing school. I chose to be a labor and delivery nurse mainly because I have the honor and privilege of being directly involved in new life being born. Nursing also gives me a flexible schedule, I work night shift, 3 nights a week, and I'm home during the day. Giving me lots of time to be home with a child.

My sister and I rescued two dogs this year. Brady is a year old Pomeranian and Pebbles is a 2 year old Yorkie. They both love kids and really enjoy playing with my nieces and nephews. | Dog Lover | Pebbles | Brady

We crocheted hats for all the kids last Christmas | Auntie Lisa | I love being:

 I have 5 nephews and 3 nieces

 Sisters, then and now...

My sister Tammy is my best friend. We live together, and she is my main support person. She is looking forward to helping me raise a child. Tammy can't wait to become an Auntie again. | I want to wholeheartedly recommend my sister Lisa as an adoptive parent. My sister has dreamed of having children since she was a little girl, and even when we were children she took on a caretaker role, always looking out for her baby sister. She has dedicated her life to the care and nurturing of children. She had a degree in Early Childhood Development and a degree as a Registered Nurse (specializing in labor and delivery). While attending school she worked as a nanny caring for children whom Lisa treated like they were part of our family. We have eight nieces and nephews who are extremely close to Lisa. She takes the kids any chance she gets on overnight visits, weekends, on vacations. She has a natural gift for relating to children on their own level and is never condescending. Our nieces and nephews love to spend time with Auntie Lisa, and we can't wait to have a new addition to this loving family. She is smart, sensitive, and a great provider. If anyone is in a position to adopt a child, it is Lisa. She truly deserves to be a parent, and any child would be lucky to have her in their life. Tammy

 Grandmama and Grandpapa

I am very close to my parents, they are very supportive of my desire to adopt a child and are looking forward to having more grandchildren in their lives. | My daughter Lisa is remarkable., she put herself through college and is an independent woman. She has proven herself to be a great provider and nurturer by taking such good care of the children she was in charge of as a nanny as well as my grandchildren. The families have always praised her gift of love and the confidence she instilled in these children. Lisa went back to school a second time and received a nursing degree. She now helps deliver babies as a nurse. Of course, Lisa is my daughter, and I'm proud of her and her accomplishments. I am also happy Lisa is realizing her dream of becoming a parent. I can guaranteed that when she has her child, she will be a loving and caring parent. Plus, I would be a very proud grand-mama to this child.

My nieces and nephews are a big part of my life. I am looking forward to bringing another child into this big loving family.

A heart full of love | Alexis | Boston | My Godchildren are a blessing

I loved being a nanny | Lisa was my childhood nanny for eight years. I always comment on how wonderful and happy my childhood was, and a large portion of this is a result of Lisa. She was not just a nanny for my younger sister and me; she was a second mother and a best friend. I was as much a part of her family as she was of mine. She is one of the most caring people I have ever met and always put my sister's and my happiness above everything else. She always went above and beyond when it came to setting up activities for the two of us, as well as fulfilling her daily obligations as a nanny. Never once was she late to the bus stop to pick me up, and she made sure I got to all my appointments on time. For our birthdays she would spend hours on elaborate cakes and surprises for us, going above and beyond our expectations without even trying. She even set up camping trips for us with her own family during the summers. During these camping trips I felt as close to her family as I did with my own because she made such an effort to make us feel as comfortable as possible. She constantly encouraged me to get involved and have fun on these trips instead of merely sitting around all the time, and I appreciate this now as a young adult. This past winter my family and I sat down to watch home videos, and Lisa took almost all of them. The time she took to document me and my sister growing up shows just how much she cared about us then. Even though it has been ten years since Lisa was my nanny, she still keeps in contact with me, and she continuously reminds me of how much she cares. I honestly cannot think of anyone more suited to be a mother than Lisa. The immense amount of love and support she showed me, even though I was not her own child, proves she will do the same with her adopted child. Sylvia | Camping with my nephews and Sylvia

We celebrate the holidays each year with some fun traditions. From painting holiday scenes on our windows, making homemade gifts, and opening presents in pajamas and silly hats. | Opening presents | Painting Christmas Windows | nephews and niece | my parents

Merry Christmas | Brady loves to frolic in the snow | My sister Tammy and brother Jeff | Santa Brady | Baking Christmas Cookies...

 Having fun together

There are many things I love about my Auntie Lisa. She is kind, helpful, and is always there. I love the way she treats me, as well as others, and her attitude toward people. I believe she would make a wonderful mother. I love that you can talk to her about anything. If you have a problem, you can tell her about it, even if she can't solve it, she is just good to vent to. My aunt is always kind to people and she doesn't judge others. She won't yell at you, she listens and then gives you advise. When she would baby-sit me, she would ask if I wanted to go anywhere, and we would go to many fun places. We wouldnÂ’t sit at home and she would make plans that would include some of my friends that she also baby-sat. She loves watching me. My aunt is a wonderful person, one of the best I know. My aunt is a remarkable person. She is my aunt, but she treats me like IÂ’m her daughter, I love her very, very much. She is extremely big hearted. I know that she would be a wonderful mother for all these reasons and more. Domonique, age 13 | Domonique and I
