S: Baby's First Year
BC: Suzie <3 I hope you like this a little something from me to you!
Suzie, I'm making this book specially for you, to share my memories of your childhood. I hope you love it just as much as I loved making it for you.
A new baby is like the beginning of all things-wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities.
You already have the most beautiful smile!
Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.
A baby is born with a need to be loved -- and never outgrows it. | 7 months | You're a little over double your birth weight here!
So many facial expressions! I can tell now when your happy, sad, or a little grumpy.. (like this picture!)
 8-9 months
"I see who I want to be, in my daughter's eyes." | You're starting to move around on your own, a little speedster. So cute! Also at nine months you can sit without support, it made mommy so proud!
Here you are, 13 months old. You love to stand up, even though you need a little help from the furniture or us! But you were so determined, and used any assistance you could find so you could stand.
Here at one you've started to feed yourself. You can hold your spoon with your little fingers. You like to wave it around a lot, I think it's because your proud and want to show it off. It does get quite messy, because sometimes you find it difficult to find your mouth, but oh how cute it is! This year you've also started to walk without our help, your walk is adorable, it's more like bouncing from place to place. | one year
"Courage, determination, pride...that's what little girls are made of." | I can start to see that the way you sees things is changing. I can tell when you feel guilty, sad, embarrassed. Even proud. | two years
At 3 you like to dress yourself. I do admit, you're pretty good. Sometimes you mix up the fronts from the backs, and you can't do buttons yet, but every day you look fantastic!
I'm so proud of you! at 4 years old, you're very good at taking turns. Your preschool teacher has nothing but good things to say about you! You may be just the teeniest bit shy, and don't have much of a temper. You're adorable! I mean, come on... look at that face! <---
At 12 months old you learned your first few words, now here at age five, you're quite the little chatter! You've started kindergarten, and you get along superb with the other students. You're exceptionally aware of others around you. You can tell when others are happy, scared sad, and it seems to affect your mood, too. | You've got some wonderful coloring skills. You stay in the lines now, and you're so proud every time!
"A wee bit of heaven drifted down from above, a handful of happiness, a heart full of love."
I've decided to put these pages in to list some of your accomplishments I might have missed! At three months you like to clap, a lot. It was more like a clasp of the hands, but it made you happy and looked like you were clapping! At seven months you liked to pick up small things, wave them around for a bit and then let go, it was adorable! At ten months you learned how to point, which made it a little easier to figure out what you wanted! At two you liked to put on your shoes, seemed to have a love for them, just like your momma! At three you went through a puzzle phase, we had tons of princess puzzles in the house for you.
At five you were really good at feeding yourself. Barely spilled at all! Also at this age you learned how to tie your shoelaces, remember the rhyme I taught you? :)
