FC: It's the little things that make life beautiful | March 2010
Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice... | She found one of her Easter presents...new shoes.
Well, Madelyn did not make it all day at school yesterday. The school called at 12:15 and said she had a fever, so Michael went to pick her up. She napped on him all afternoon. Sick AGAIN! I called the nurse and she talked to Dr. Waldo. We scheduled another doctor's visit for this morning at 10:15am. It seemed odd to them that her fever was so high for that long, so he wanted to check her again. SO, I stayed home with her this morning and then took her to the doc.
"Little girls have a magic all their own." | Thursday, March 4, 2010 She was in such a good mood this morning, even though she didn't sleep well last night. She woke up twice crying and that is VERY uncommon with her.
This morning's doctor's appointment went well. We didn't get to see her usual doctor (Dr. Waldo), he was out of town, so we saw Dr. Whitaker. We liked him. He checked her out (head to toe) and her virus is gone. This time she has a double ear infection and the beginning of the croup, which explains the fever and waking up twice last night crying. She doesn't really have the croup cough yet, but she is hoarse and has a cough that could turn into it, so she has three days of meds that will knock that out. And she will be on antibiotics for 10 days for the ears. This little girl is ready to feel good again! She smiled at the doctor a lot. Such a sweet girl even when she feels bad. She found the patsy AND the phone while going through my purse. Calling Gigi to give her the diagnosis. She weighs 19 lbs!
After the doctor's office, we went by Momentum and visited. Then we kidnapped Daddy (Michael) and went to Zaxby's for lunch! After lunch we took her to school for the afternoon since she has meds, felt a little better and wasn't contagious. When we got there we received fabulous news! She is moving to the Toddler I Class on March 15th. That is 2-3 months early, since they usually move up around 15-16 months! She is ready. They will have scheduled programs in the mornings where they rotate to different stations every 10-15 minutes. They will do more art, sing more songs and read more books! They learn to sit in chairs at little tables, take one nap a day (on cots) and go outside EVERY afternoon (weather permitting) to play on their own playground! WOO HOO!!! She is going to LOVE it!
Friday, March 5, 2010 | Wednesday, March 10, 2010 Days with Daddy Oh, how I have missed this baby! I have been out of town since Saturday (pics are coming in the next few days) and we had a blast! But oh, I missed this BABY! Madelyn and Michael stayed home...and it looks like they had a blast! Until very recently, she didn't even notice when she dropped a bite, but now...oh heavenly day, we have to find it! And I love how she crosses her legs in her highchair, at the ankle like a little lady.
You Make My Sun Shine | Madelyn (well, Michael) tried to make me a picture to send saying they couldn't wait to see me...Madelyn didn't cooperate. But I love this picture anyway. | Highpoint of my Vegas trip...
"Little Girls are Heavens Flowers" | Monday is the big day for Madelyn to move to the Toddler I classroom. To slowly get her used to it, they are letting her spend time in that classroom at certain times during the day THIS week. Well, YESTERDAY she spent from 8:30am to 1pm! She participated in all the morning programs and even took her nap on the cot! WOO HOO!! The teacher made a note on her daily report card and said she loved it (especially the dance program). Such a big girl! | New classroom!! Each classroom level has their own playground. The toddler's have a rubbery ground, so it is soft on their hands and knees if they fall down. They have such a good time out here!
First Full Day! Friday, March 12, 2010 I snapped one quick pic (through the door) before she saw me when I picked her up this afternoon. She spent the whole day in her new Toddler room and her teachers said she had a GREAT day! I even learned today that they eat at those little tables, no more high chairs | Tonight we went to Hartley's in Chelsea. It is a DELICIOUS, southern, cafeteria style restaurant. Madelyn had catfish, roll, mashed potatoes and macaroni.
I spent all day with her since I have to leave again tomorrow. She followed me around the house while I cleaned (while MJ was outside cutting grass). I'll be back from Nashville on Thursday.
"Good times are even better when they are shared" | Saturday, March 13, 2010
This was from last Saturday when Gigi, Papaw and Amanda visited and we had a Mexican dinner. | Another Costco Trip (Last Sunday | Madelyn got an Easter surprise in the mail! A singing book! She loves to dance to the Easter song while we read the book. Thank you so much! | In Nashville at the conference, Monday night was concert night...Diamond Rio. Pretty good!
Monday Pic | Tuesday Pic | Last night when I got home, I started to unpack...so Madelyn played and went through my suitcase. She found a few gifts I brought her, but did NOT like the goats.
 Thursday, March 18, 2010
 "Pink isn't just a color, it's an attitude" | Friday, March 19, 2010 | See a cow...MOOOO. See a pig...MOOOO. | Someone is knocking on the door. It is Daddy...RUNNNN!!!
Sunday, March 21, 2010 Lunch time, then nap time, then going to see Connor's new house!
After visiting Connor, we went to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner. | Sunday, March 21, 2010 | Almost time for church! Today was a big day. Madelyn usually sits with us in big church, but today she stayed in the nursery for the first time! | When we left her, she didn't really want to go with the nursery lady, but she had her attention on toys so she wasn't crying.
Saturday, March 27, 2010 Today we went to an Easter Egg Hunt/Cook Out at Brooke and Paul's house. It was SO fun! She has started getting a little shy and wants me to hold her when other people she doesn't know are around, but today she seemed fine! She didn't want anyone else to hold her, but she ran and played and had a great time!
 Say Cheese!
