5: Milo I first found out I was pregnant with Milo when I was 10 weeks along. I had taken many home pregnancy tests and had been to the doctor and he did a test, all to find out they were negative. But deep down I knew I was pregnant. I went again to see my doctor and he checked my uterus and said it was enlarged and I could be pregnant so he sent me to get a ultrasound. Sure enough there was a baby! Kaitlyn and Emmalee did the job of letting everyone know. My due date was March 7th. Later we found out it was a boy and both Mark and I were really excited to get a boy to this family. Our biggest struggle with having a boy was picking a name. Mark was set on 2 names, Gavin or Hayden, I on the other hand had 2 names of my own, Dallin or Mason. The only thing we did agree on was the middle name to be Mark. For months we looked through baby books and on the internet and never could agree on a name. On Valentines Day I started to get contractions, I started to time them and they would get close, but in fear they would go away by morning (since they did that with my last baby) I didn't get too anxious. Every night after that they would come and get harder and closer, and every morning they would stop. After almost 1 full week of not getting any sleep I had had it. That Monday I went to see my doctor he informed me I was at a 3 but I wouldn't be having him anytime soon. So he sent me home with a sleeping pill and told me to get some rest. Even though my due date was 2 weeks away I knew I wasn't going to last till then. That night for Family Night we tried to decide on a name, after no progress I took the pill and went to bed. 30 minuets later I started getting contractions again, I tried to brush them off but they kept coming harder and faster. The sleeping pill started to make me feel confused and I started to act weird. I remember trying to look at the clock and time how close the contractions were but not being able to remember what the time was when I first looked at it, I was even more confused when I looked at the clock and read the time 11:11. I remember saying "how am I suppose to count one, one, one, one it should be 1, 2, 3, 4"! I found myself getting very frustrated and finally at 1:00am I got up to try and walk it off. By 2:00am I started to shake really bad (which is what I do when I am in labor ) so I went and woke up Mark. I started to get mad and cry when he asked me how close the contractions were I told him that I couldn't count, but I was shaking so get me to the hospital! He called his mom to come down and we left. When I got to the hospital they told me they were really busy and if I wasn't in labor they would have to send me home, once again I started to cry. When they got me in the room I was at a 6 so they did not send me home. 45 min. later Milo was born. With in Minuets of him being born Mark looked at me and said I know what we are suppose to name him. When he first told me Milo I really didn't like it that well I was set on Dallin. Even though I knew the meaning of Milo and where it had come from. Mark had a uncle Milo that was killed when he was 2 years old, and even though we speak of him often I found it odd that we never even considered that name. I told Mark that we would think about it, and I fell asleep. Morning came and the first person he wanted to call was his grandma Lorna to ask her if it would be alright if we name him after her son. When asked all she could do is cry, and I knew right then that his name would be Milo, it touched my heart to know that his name now had meaning behind it. It was fun to have family and friends stop by and say "hi Dallin!" and when told "it's Milo", everyone would just get this confused look and say Milo? where did that come from? Two days later as we were getting ready to leave and go home Austin and Kelly had their baby girl, it was fun to have Milo and Fiona in the hospital together even if it was for only a short time. I love you Milo -Mom-
