S: It's a Cell

FC: I'm a Animal Cell | It's a Cell!!

By Nicole Woodard and Kimberly Endo

Robert Hooke Great-Grandpa | Paternal Family Tree | Matthias Jakob Schleiden Grandpa-Paternal | Robert Hooke was the first person to discover cells. | Schleiden noticed the importance of the nucleus. He also proposed the cell theory with Schwann.

Schwann proposed the cell theory. | Rudolph Virchow Dad | Theodore Schwann Grandpa-Maternal | Virchow edited the third cell theory to make it a correct theory.

Cell Theory 1.All living things are made up of cells. 2.Cells only come from pre-existing cells. 3.The smallest organism of life is a cell.

Homeostasis is a way an organism stays balanced or constant. Cellular- I achieve homeostasis when my pumps send me proteins, ions, and nutrients.

What Makes me, me!!! | 1. The Cell Membrane keeps all of my organelles inside. 2. My Mitochondria create ATP to keep me energized. 3. The Golgi Apparatus changes, sorts, and packages proteins for me. | 4. My Nucleus holds my DNA and builds ribosomes for me. 5. The Nucleolous is the center of my nucleus and makes ribosomes. 6. Ribosomes make amino acids for me. | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6

 7. The Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum is covered in ribosomes and exports my proteins. 8. My Lysosome breaks down my proteins, lipids, and carbohydrates so I can use them again. 9. The Cytoplasm holds my organelles. 10. My Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum carries my enzymes and stores them for me. | 7. | 8. | 9. | 10.

Cell Membrane | is the outer boundary that keeps my interior, | the cytoplasm, from my surrounding and is made of lipids

I like being a Eukaryote cell. Is there other cells other than me?

Prokaryote They don't have a nucleus or other organelles. Dividing rapidly is their way of multiplying. Ex) Blue Bacteria Green Bacteria | Eukaryote We have nucleuses and other organelles. Ex) Humans Animals Plants | Both Both of us are the base structure for all living things.

I'm a animal cell. Why are you a plant cell?

I am a animal cell. I have no cell wall, vacuoles, or chloroplast. My shape is almost a undefined blob, but I'm shown as a circle or oval. | I don't know why plant cells have a cell wall, vacuoles, and chloroplast while i don't. They also look funny to me they are almost a rectangular shape while I'm not.

No matter what we both have the organelles cell membrane, mitochondria, cytoplasm, lysosome, nucleus, ribosomes, ERs,ect.

Sources used! | cell notes cell trading cards
