4: A | A&M Basketball Team | The A&M Womens Basketball has had a successful year and won the National Championship of 2011! The final game led up to the Aggies vs. Iowa State . Daniella Adams led the team to victory along with great passes and free-trows from the whole team! The whole team was recognized at the state capitol. |

5: B | Bocce Ball History | Bocce ball is based on one of the most ancient sports: throwing an item at a still target. Egyptians have been given credit for the game. The Egyptians used polished stones instead of modern Bocce balls. "Bocce" is comes from the latin meaning "bottica" which means "boss" . The objective of the game is to throw a bocce ball and have it land as close as possible to the target.

6: C | Capitol 10K competition | The Statesmen Capital 10k is the largest 10k in Texas and fifth largest in the nation. This year its the competition's 34th annual run. The Capitol 10k attracts serious runners and ones that want to go just for fun. You can run it, walk it, or jog it! This run takes place in downtown Austin Texas! |

7: D | Dell Diamond venue | The construction of the Dell Diamond cost $25 million. The City of Round Rock Donated $8.4 million, while Ryan-Sanders Baseball, the owners of the Round Rock Express, paid for the remainder of the stadium's construction cost. The architect was HKS and the construction manager was Hensel Phelps. It was built in an 85-acre former cornfield on the eastern edge of the Round Rock city-limits. Round Rock-based Dell Computer Corporation signed a 15-year, $2.5 million deal in January of 2000 It is owned by the City of Round Rock. It has 8,814 fixed seats and 30 suites. The first game played there was when The El Paso Diablos beat the Round Rock Express, 4-1, on April 16, 2000 in front of 10,699 fans.

8: E | Emmitt Smith individual | Emmitt Smith was was born on May 15, 1969 in Pensacola, Florida. He played for the Dallas Cowboys (1990-2002) and now lives in Dallas. He went to Escambia High School. He also holds the NFL record for career rushing touchdowns (164) and was named to the Pro Bowl eight times. The Cowboys selected Emmitt in the first round (17th overall) of the 1990 NFL Draft.

9: F | Fishing History | Fishing is one of the oldest activities known to man. Archaeologists have found ancient dumps of shells and bones, cave paintings showing people fishing and even hooks made from bone. The first time great improvement came was around the mid-17th century, when Izaak Walton and Charles Cotton were writing about new tackle and fishing methods.

10: G | Golf History | In golf there are 3 different grips-baseball grip, overlapping grip, and the interlocking grip. The early 17th century golf ball was made of feathers. 18 holes, total length of 6500-7500 yards. You can only use a tee when you tee off (first time you hit the ball at every hole) Lighter green part of the course is the fairway, and the darker part is the putting greens. Lowest score wins (lowest score is 18---never been done before)

11: H | High Meadow Arabian Horse Stables Venue | High Meadow Arabian Horse Stables is located near Lake Lewisville riding trails but only a couple of minutes from the Dallas Fort Worth airport. This stable has thirty acres of land and sells only Arabian horses. High Meadow Arabian Stables has horse arenas, round pins, full equipment, and riding lessons. |

12: I | Iron Man (Austin) Competition | The one-loop freshwater swim is in Decker Lake. Athletes will enjoy the scenic one-loop bike course through rolling Texas farmland, sprawling ranches, cedar-covered vistas and sunflower fields. The run course will take athletes through Walter E. Long Park and along the shores of Decker Lake.

13: J | USA Jump Rope (Huntsville) Competition | The USA Jump Rope Camp in Huntsville Texas has teams and individuals that compete for different categories such as freestyle and speed. They are even offering a scholarship. This is one of the many teams worldwide. |

14: K | Zilker Kite-Flying Festival competition | The Kite Contest is open to anyone who wants to compete. Only homemade single line kites are accepted in the contest. There is no cost to enter. Registration is between 11 and 2pm the day of the event at the tables next to the sound booth.There are separate awards for children and adults.

15: L | Live Strong Marathon competition | The LIVESTRONG Austin Marathon and Half Marathon goes by Lady Bird Johnson Lake, the Allandale and Hyde Park neighborhoods, Congress Avenue, the University of Texas campus, and the State Capitol complex. It has 28 turns, 40 Austin bands, 26 water & Gatorade stops, and Seton Health Care Systems medical teams. The LIVESTRONG Marathon is one of the best supported routes in America.

16: M | MS 150 Marathon competition | The MS 150 Marathon is a bike race from Houston to Austin, Texas. This competition is a fun-raiser for people with multiple sclerosis. This race/fun-raiser is a two day event. This event is the single-largest fun-raiser for the ms society. |

17: N | NCAA Basketball Final Four-Houston competition | About 77,000 fans are expected to go to a Final Four game. approximately 70,000 of them don't live in Houston. The estimated amount of money spent related to The Final Four will go over $100 million. The Florida Gators won!

18: O | Cat Osterman Individual | Cathrine Leigh Osterman was born in Houston, Texas. When she was younger Cat played soccer and basketball. After playing a game of softball Cat was hooked and asked for pitching lessons for her 11th birthday. Cat Osterman is a left-hander and is 6'2. She broke every pitching record at the University Texas where she used to attend school. Cat is currently on the US softball team. |

19: P | Ping-Pong began as a small social game. Ping-Pong got its name from the imitation of the sound made by the ping-pong ball hitting the table and the paddles. It used to be an after-dinner entertainment, not a sport. Ping-Pong is now played at national and international levels, and is as competitive as any other sport. | The History of Ping-Pong

20: Q | Quan Cosby Individual | Quan Cosby was born in Waco, Texas but considers Mart to be his hometown. He attended Mart High school. His junior year, 2007, he played in all thirteen games and was in the starting 11. Quan also plays Baseball minor league. |

21: R | Rowing Dock Venue | The Rowing Dock in located on Lake Austin also known as Lady Bird Lake. The Rowing dock offers paddle boarding, canoing, kayaking, and rowing. It also has summer camps! The rowing dock in open year around and stays open form 7 in the morning to 7 at night. |

22: S | SUPping history | Stand up paddle surfing, or SUPping, is a water sport where you stand on a surf board shaped board and you have a paddle. You dip the paddle into the water and scoop it back. The Hawaiian translation is Ku Hoe He'e Nalu; to stand, paddle, or surf a wave.

23: T | Texas Tech Womens Soccer Club Team | The Texas Tech Women's soccer team plays competitively against other team across Texas. They practice three times a week and have all games on the weekend. In 2009 the team made it to the semi-finals of the Regional tournament. Their season is in the fall but they host try-outs in August. |

24: U | U.T Volleyball Team | The U.T volleyball team has had an unbeaten spring season with victories against Ole Miss and Arkansas in Dallas, Texas. Their Spring season has been great for them seeing as they took three sets from LSU. U.T hosted the NCAA regionals this year. Coach Elliott says the team works great together and shows great leadership! |

25: V | Vince Young individual | Vincent Young Junior was born on May 18, 1983, in Houston, Texas. He lived in Houston’s Hiram Clarke neighborhood, which is part of the historical African-American Fourth Ward. When he was seven years old, Vince was hit by a car while riding his bike. The handlebar hit into his stomach, causing severe internal injuries that made him go to the hospital, and took many months to heal. Looking back, Vince says the accident made him tougher. |

26: W | Rollingwood Aquatics Team | The Rollingwood Aquatics team has a successful year. The coaches are Coach Martinez and Whitney. This team has had eight meets this year and their season is just getting started. They have won all their meet. Julia Grismer is one of their prize swimmers and she attends Hill Country Middle School.Their team name is the Rollingwood Waves. | Rolling Wood Aquatics team member- Maddie Domino

27: X | Kings X Sports Club and Bar venue | Celebrities go to the Kings X to watch games on T.V. all the time. It costs $100 to watch each game. They usually have live music. The bar is Members only. They only have 1-4 employees a time. |

28: Y | YMCA venue | The YMCA has people coming to it from more than 10,000 neighborhoods across the U.S. It is the United States leading nonprofit organization. It is community centered. The YMCA brings people together, for example, we (Peyton and Madi) met there, the day before kindergarten. They Y has been serving their community for nearly 160 years!

29: Z | Zilker Park venue | Zilker Metropolitan Park is a recreational venue in Austin, Texas. Anyone who wants to can go and play any sport! They installed a $2.5 million irrigation system and new turf called Tifway. ACL with pay the cost over the next five years, and is supposed to pay for any repairs for the grass. They also have a train that goes around the park for little kids amusement. |
