2: A-ACL Festival | ACL is a festival which plays various music in Austin that occcurs once a year in late September. Over 70,000 people come to see the bands each day ACL is occuring. The genres of band range from rock to folk. ACL has been going on from 2002 to 2011. The tickets and packages price range from fifty dollars to eight hundred and sixty dollars.

3: B- Erykah Badu | Erykah Badu is a solo artist and sings Rhythm and Blues, Hip-Hop and Soul. Her real name is Erica Abi Wright, but she uses Erykah Badu as a stage name. She believed Erica was a slave name , so she changed the spelling. The "kah" means inner self, and "Badu" meas the tenth born child. She was born February 26, 1971 in Dallas. She is not only a solo artist, but she is a record producer and a actress. By age fourteen, she was already free styling for a radio station. She was in a band called the "Soulquaraianes." One of her songs "Mama's Gun" and "Bag Lady' got nominated for a Grammy award. One of her songs "On and On" won Grammy Awards in 1988.

4: Ornette Coleman is a solo artist and a jazz singer. Ornette Coleman is an American saxophonist, violinist, trumpeter, and composer. His album "Sound Grammar" won the 2007 Pulitzer Prize. He was born on March 9, 1930 in Fort Worth, Texas. Ornette Coleman's father died when he was seven years old leaving his mother to take care of him. His mother put money aside to buy him a saxophone when he was 14. He taught himself to sight read music and began playing in R&B bands. He is still alive and continues to push himself into harder music! | C- Ornette Coleman

5: D- David Cook | David Cook is a solo artist and sings rock music. David Roland Cook was born on December 20, 1982. He rose to fame after winning the seventh season of American Idol! Prior to American Idol he released an album called Analog Hearts. He was born in Houston Texas but was raised in Blue Spring Missouri and currently owns many homes in Kansas City! He is still alive and continues to sing.

6: E- Eyes of Texas | "Eyes of Texas" is a traditional song and a alma mater at many Texas Longhorn sport events. This song was written by John Sinclair. One inspiration for this song was to poke fun at University President Colonel Prather. Another inspiration was in the book "Hood's Texas Brigade: Lee's Grenadier Guard."One of the colonels John Gregg said "Attention Texas Brigade,"The eyes of General Lee are upon you." This song has appeared in many movies. such as "Sugarland Express", produced by Stephen Speilburg.

7: The Pecan Street Festival is a festival that occurs twice a year on 24 blocks of 6th street with 24 (Brazos to I-35) are transformed into the annual Pecan Street Festival. It plays various genres. With more than 300 juried artists and original artisans, three stages of live music, a wide variety of ethnic and regional food, childrens workshops and more, the Pecan Street Festival has been a family tradition for thirty-three years. Festival goers enjoy magicians, jugglers, dancers comedians, international cuisine, and carnival rides. | F- The Pecan Street Festival

8: G- Selena Gomez | Selena Gomez is a solo artist that sings mostly pop songs. Selena Marie Gomez was born on July 22, 1992. in Grand Prairie Texas. She is an American actress, singer, and best known for portraying Alex Russo in the television series Wizards of Waverly Place. She subsequently ventured into feature films and has starred in the television movies Another Cinderella Story, Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie, and Princess Protection Program. She made her starring theatrical film debut in Ramona and Beezus. Her career has expanded into the music industry; Gomez is the lead singer and founder of the pop band Selena Gomez & the Scene, which has released two RIAA Gold certified studio albums, Kiss & Tell and A Year Without Rain.

9: A heart full of love | H- Hilary Duff | Hilary Duff is a pop solo artist who was born September 23, 1987, in Houston, Texas She is also an actress who has been in many movies and T.V shows. One of her songs, "Reach Out" was number one on billboard charts. She was able to sell thirteen million records worldwide. She was also named 69th artist of the 2000s decade. She had three RIAA-Certified platinum albums. Currently, she is donating money to the "Kids with a Cause" charity.

10: I-Indianola | Indianola is a country song written by Charlie Robison. This song was on his 1988 album "Life of the Party." Indianola has a specific reference to Indianola, Texas. This song is a narrative, talking about the stock market crash of 1929 and World War II. The sentiment of this song is to show a story of new promises and carved facts that an individualist can experience while in Indianola.

11: J-Jessica Simpson | Jessica Ann Simpson was born July 10, 1980 in Abilene, Texas She is a pop solo artist who enjoys acting . She has 40 billboard hits and sold over 426,000 copies and was ranked number 113 out of 1000 for the Australian Recording Industry. In 1999, her first single "I Wanna Love You Forever" got number 3 on Billboard top 100 songs. In 2001, her album "Irresistible" stayed at number 15 for over twenty weeks. Currently, she is appearing in television specials and selling fragrance lines.

12: K- Beyonce Knowles | Beyone | Beyonce Knowles is a R&B solo artist who was born September 4, 1981 in Houston, Texas. In the late 1990s she was the lead singer of "Destiny's Child". Her album "B'Day," that included the song "single Ladies", got her six Grammy awards. she appeared in the movie "Dream Girls," earned her two Golden Globe nominations and Cadillac records. In all, she received 16 Grammy Awards, 13 solo artist awards and 3 for "Destiny's Child." She has sold over 11.2 million records and 25 million singles. Recently, she has appeared in T.V. shows and movies.

13: L- Los Lonely Boys | Los Lonely Boys is a rock band from San Angelo, Texas. They play a style of music they call "Texican Rock n' Roll," combining elements of rock and roll, blues, soul, country, and Tejano. The band consists of three brothers: Henry (guitar, vocals), Jojo (bass, vocals), and Ringo (drums, vocals) Garza.[1] They follow the tradition of their father, Ringo Garza, Sr., who formed a band with his brothers called the Falcones. Los Lonely Boys have released three studio albums and a live album, all on the Epic Records label. Their debut single, "Heaven," was a number one hit on the Billboard adult contemporary chart and reached the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2004.

14: M- Miles and Miles of Texas | James Robert Wills (March 6, 1905 – May 13, 1975), better known as Bob Wills, was an American Western swing musician, songwriter, and band leader, considered by many music authorities one of the fathers of Western swing and called the King of Western Swing by his fans. He was born on a farm near Kosse, Texas. The song Miles and Miles of Texas talks about particular events in Texas such as the rodeo and different foods across Texas. The chorus to the song is: I saw miles and miles of Texas, all the stars up in the sky; I saw miles and miles of Texas, gonna live here 'til I die. It is a traditional song

15: N- Willie Nelson | Willie Nelson is a solo artist and country singer. Willie Nelson was born April 30, 1933 Abbott, Texas. He wrote his age seven and joined his first band at age nine. when he was in high school he was touring with the band Bohemian Fiddlers as their lead singer and guitarist. His first record "Lumberjack" sold over 3,000 copies. He won ten Grammy awards as of 2008. His song "On the Road Again" was one of his first hits. Not only does he sing, but he has appeared in many movies such as "One Peace at a Time."

16: "A mother holds your hand for a while, but holds your heart forever." | O-Texas Our Texas | Texas Our Texas is a traditional song and the official state song of Texas. This song was written by Marsh and Gladys Yoakum Wright and composed by William J. Marsh in 1924. This song was adopted by the legislature in the 1929. In the 1950's students had to sing this song during the beginning of their classes. THe first word in the third line is largest, but when Alaska became the largest state in 1959, it was replaced with boldest.

17: P- Abilene Philharmonic Orchestra | The Abilene Philharmonic Orchestra is a type of band that plays classical music across Texas. Music Director and Conductor David Itkin delivers a season full of extraordinary talent with music that will captivate and mesmerize the senses. Their address is 402 Cypress St # 130 Abilene, TX 79601-5123 (325) 677-6710.

18: Q- Harrington String Quartet | They play classical music and are a type of band. An avid chamber musician, Tomas Cotik, has performed extensively with various different groups performing duos to octets in the United States and Europe. Tomas has collaborated in performances with members from the Cleveland, Miami, Pro Arte and Vogler String Quartets among others. The Harrington String Quartet plays with the Amarillo Symphony.

19: R- Roky Erickson | Legendary solo artist, rock n roll pioneer Roger Kynard "Roky" Erickson hails from Austin, Texas. He is, in the words of music writer Richie Unterberger, one of "the unknown heroes of rock and roll." As singer, songwriter, and guitar player for the legendary Austin, TX band The 13th Floor Elevators, the first rock and roll band to describe their music as "psychedelic", Roky had a profound impact on the San Francisco scene when the group traveled there in 1966. Unfortunately, Roky's struggles with drug abuse and mental illness took a serious toll in 1966 when he was arrested for marijuana.

20: S- Stevie Ray Vaughan | Stevie Ray Vaghan was born on October 3, 1954 and died on August 27, 1990. He was a solo artist and American blues guitarist. He was the younger brother of Jimmie Vaughan and front man for Double Trouble, a band that included bassist Tommy Shannon and drummer Chris Layton. He was born in Dallas, Texas . Vaughan moved to Austin at the age of 17 and began his music career. Later, producer John H. Hammond arranged a deal with Epic Records in 1983.

21: "A mother holds your hand for a while, but holds your heart forever." | T- Threadgill's | Threadgill's is a venue that not only plays live music, but is a home style cooking restaurant. It plays various genres. This restaurant got started 78 years ago by a man named Kenneth Threadgill. His gulf filling station became the popular stop for traveling. While the Austin area wanted to demolish the filling station, a man named Eddie Wilson, who owned a sister venue bought it. The filling station then closed and Threadgill's restaurant opened. Now at their north and south Austin locations, they play live music all throughout the week. Threadgill's is a popular place today for people who enjoy music or home cooked meals.

22: U- United Spirit Arena | The United Spirit Arena is a venue that plays various kinds of music for West Texas entertainment. Concerts and sports games go on at this arena. There are 19 buildings that are used for all occasions. Groups and singers such as Taylor Swift and Sugarland preform here. The ticket price ranges from 40 to 55 dollars. This arena is located in Lubbock Texas, and is a popular place to all Texas citizens.

She is an American Contemporary Christian and Latin Pop solo artist singer—in both English and Spanish languages. As a kid she lived in Houston, Texas for ten years but moved because her parents wanted to go on tour around the United States continuing with their Latin/ Christian music. Five years later, at the age of 14, she signed to Myrrh Records. Her first album Heavenly Place shot up the charts and quickly became her first Platinum record, also earning her the title of “the fastest selling solo debut artist in the history of Christian music.”

24: You're Always in My Heart | W- Amarillo World Headquarters | The Armadillo World Headquarters (usually called simply The Armadillo) was the premier music hall and entertainment center in Austin, Texas, from 1970 to 1980. It has now been closed down but is still talked about when people are talking about Texas music. It was a music venue that played country music.

25: X- Texarkana | Texarkana is a traditional song. It is part of the album "Out of Time" by R.E.M. It was written in 1990 by Mike Mills. It got number 4 on the "Modern Rock Tracks Chart for the "Mainstream Rock Track Chart." This song does have a reference to the border Texas and Arkansas.

26: Y- Yolanda Adams | Yolanda Adams is a solo artist and a gospel singer. She was born on August 27, 1961 in Houston, Texas. She already has 4.5 million albums sold since 1991 in the United states, as of September 2009. On December 11, 2009 Billboard magazine named her the number 1 gospel artist of the last decade. Her album "Mountain High... Valley Low," was acknowledged as the best gospel album. In 2001, her album "The Experience" gained her a second Grammy for best contemporary soul gospel album. As of today, She has her own radio show called "The Yolanda Adams Morning Show."

27: Z- Zilker Park | Zilker Park is a venue. that plays various kinds of music. There are many festivals and events that occur in Zilker Park. It is Located at 2100 Barton Springs Road, Zilker Metropolitan Park is considered "Austin's most loved park." This 351 acre park is home to a variety of recreation opportunities and special events for the individual or the whole family. Some events that occur in Zilker Park is the Zilker Park holiday tree and the kite festival. In Zilker park there is a botanical garden, theater, and summer camps over the summer. ACL (Austin City Limits) is in Zilker park. Various bands and singers come to Zilker Park and share their music.
