FC: The Religion of the Anglo-Saxons
1: Religion of the Anglo-Saxon Life 2nd Period By Alicia Parson
2: The Anglo-Saxons worshiped many different gods. The Heathens came from Christianity. They had many gods to represent every aspect of life . | Christianity was also a religion that Anglo-Saxons had. This religion came about in 597 c.e. (common era). This came about because Heathenism was being denied. | The Monastic Life came about in the seventh and eighth centuries. By the ninth the enthusiasm of this life had died down and was no longer existent.
3: At the beginning of the Anglo-Saxon life mostly all of them were pagans. They worshiped many different gods. Woden was a German king of the Anglo-Saxons which is where the name Wednesday came from.
4: Anglo Saxons were very superstitious. They were big believers in lucky charms, and thought that magic potions and stones would keep them from evil or harm or sickness.

8: The Way Heathens Worshiped It is believed that the Heathens used dancing as a type of worship. Researchers don't know if they danced spiritually or just socially. They also aren't quite sure about, but they believe that danced using weapons based on some of the artwork found.
