1: Kennedy Funeral 1963 photographer unknown JFK Jr. Salutes his fathers casket surrounded by his Mother, sister and two uncles. This photo was taken during a very emotional time in american history. 2: Berlin Wall 1989 photographer unknown I remember the night that this was on television. The Berlin wall was torn down uniting west and east Germany. No longer was a country torn apart, they were finally united as one country. www.europa.eu/abc/12lessons/lesson_2/index_en.htm
3: September 11, 2001 New York photographer unknown This picture is what pops up in my mind when I think of that day. This is the day that America stopped. The country stared at their tv's in awe. We were unable to comprehend that magnitude of what was unfolding in New York. The nation morned the loss of friends, family and emergency workers killed that day. www.sfbay-indymedia.org
4: Katerina Hurricanne in New Orleans 9/1/05 David Phillip America was able to see through pictures the devistation that was happening in New orleans. People stranded for days on top of thier own homes. Never had such devistation been captured from the aftermath of a hurricanne. 5: The Tsunami December 26,2004 photographer unknown The Tsunami destoryed many countries and killed hundrends of people. No one had any warning that such a catastrophe was going to happen.
