4: IMPORTANCE TO THE 20's Babe Ruth one of the greatest baseball players to ever play the game was a very big icon in the 1920's. He was well known throughout the US and many people looked to watching him play for comfort. Every kid in America looked up to him and as a hero. Babe only wanted the best for the youth and said "I won't be happy until we have every boy in America between the ages of six and sixteen wearing a glove and swinging a bat." He gave all Americans some one to look at to get through the tough times that were going on.

6: The Curse of the Bambino Babe Ruth at the age of nineteen started his Major League debut with the Boston Red Sox. He will always be remembered as one of the greatest hitters of all time, but he was an equally adept pitcher. 1918 the last season Babe played for the Red Sox was the only World Series win for 43 years. Babe was traded to the Yankees for $100,000. In 2004 the Curse was broken and the Red Sox have won two World Series in the past four years.

7: Babe Ruth one of the best baseball players of all time will live on as a national hero. His legacy today still lives and kids know him as a power hitter that did great things when he played the game he loved.
