Dedicated to the: | people who have suffered this painful disease.

In medieval Europe by the Black sea in Sicily in October 1347, there lived a middle aged women in a little hut who was a surf. She was a farmer, and took care of the livestock. With her lived her serf husband who worked in the fields and payed taxes. They thought that it would be easier if they had some kids to help with the livestock, so they were expecting two kids unfortunately, where they lived there was a deadly killer!RATS! These rats carried a disease called the Black Plague. One person caught it then

spreading like wild fire others caught it too. The plague was very deadly, also millions (more than 20 million). Symptoms of the Black Plague was fever, unable to keep food down, and pain. What was really strange was they were covered in mysterious black boils that oozed blood and pus which gave the name the “Black Death.” She caught the disease and had her kids then sadly 1 year later she died. Her husband didn't get the plague, though he did die in war.

After she died, the Lords took away her home and the two children named Elizabeth and Tom.When they were 15 they were let free and they lived on the streets. One day they were in the trash looking for food to eat. A mom spotted the two teenagers. She asked them where their parents were, once they heard Elizabeth and Toms story the parents immediately took the children into their home to care for.

Elizabeth and Tom had the plague but, they did not know it. They wore clothes that covered their black spots, and they were already hurt, so they thought the pain was from other wounds. The two parents didn't have the plague either, they were very lucky, only some people had caught the plague. You where lucky if you had not caught the Black Death

Tom and Elizabeth both had the plague. One morning their mother went to wake them up for the farming. Usually they would wake up right away. Tom had waken and noticed his sister did not wake up. Tom didn't now what to do. He called his mother and she came up in a hurry. Minutes later they called the doctor, the doctor came to there house in a rush. He went to Elizabeth and said she was dead. He said his sorries and left the house.

That afternoon in October, windy, chilly, and very sad about Elizabeth. Tom still working on the farm. They couldn't afford to not work around the farm.
