BC: The End!

FC: Six Essential | Geography elements | that you need for | for your life! | By:Emily Smith

Did you know that your house is a place? Your school is a place, and your mom's work is a place. Any where that you can go in the world is a place. Pretty neat huh?

We live on a place called Earth. And on the Earth, we live on a content; and that content is called North America; and around the content called North America are big, big bodies of water called oceans. And in those oceans are other contents. There are seven of them.

A region is area that different groups of people live in. These people are diverse in their culture and that is what makes different regions so unique.

An example of a different region and culture is Mexico. Just think about it, they have different food, different music, even different clothing. Another example is China. They do things differently than us in America too.

Earth has something called a physical system. It can shape the earths surface and effect where and how people live. | These systems include, climate, erosion, earthquakes, and severe storms. People that don't live on the east coast, don't have to worry about things like hurricanes. And people that live way up north don't have to worry about hot weather. It all depends on where you live.

When do you use geographic information? Well let's see; when you go outside, do you dress so you will be comfortable? Sure you do. You don't wear a coat in the summer do you? And you don't wear shorts in the winter do you? When you check the weather to see what you will wear, you use geographic information.

What are human systems? How do we use them? | Cell phones, transportation, and computers. How humans settle the earth, and economic systems.

Lets Review! Lets review what you have learned so far; You have learned about the world, places and regions, the Earth's physical systems, and human systems.

What do you do when you recycle? You help your environment out! Going green helps out our world to balance human needs against what our physical world can provide us.

Recycling is such a good thing that helps out our environment. You can recycle plastic bottles, cardboard boxes, aluminum cans, newspaper, and so much more. Just like the Disney channel song says, "Just one simple act of kindness, can set the sea in motion..make a wave!" So get out there and make a wave and help your planet.

In school, you learn how to read maps, the history of Earth, and location to other places. These things you learn may not be used as much in the future as when you first learn them and study the in school, but they will become very important in your life.
