Face the music Melody Carlson Realistic Fiction

 Setting: High school

Chloe and two of her friends are in a band together. They travel all around the world and meet other bands. Chloe has never gone to a prom, so she is trying to take a guy she likes named Jeremy. Turns out, he's never been to a prom either. They met in a town where there bands where playing at the same time. They all go through hard times, but in the end, Chloe and Jeremy are really good friends. That's all she wanted.

The authors point is to follow what you believe in. The moral is to follow your dreams. My character learned that if you wait for something, it will happen in the end.

Chloe- person the story is about, the main character Beanie- second close friend, girl she met along the way Jeremy- Guy Chloe likes, in a band Laura- Chloe's best friend Allie- A sister-like-friend to Chloe Caitlin- One of Chloe's friends Elise- Another friend

An internal conflict is that Chloe wants Jeremy to like her, but she doesn't really know how he feels about her. An external conflict would be that Chloe and some of her friends get in fights and she loses a good friend.

In the end, the people who were her real friends, stayed with her. She even gained a few more friends to stay through it all.

Melody Carlson has published over ninety books for adults, children, and teens, with sales totaling more than two million and many titles appearing on ECPA Bestsellers List. Several of her books have been finalists for, and winners of, various writing awards, including the Gold Medallion and the RITA Award.

I would recommend this book to anyone, but mainly a girl. It' stuff that has to do with a girl and her friends and how they deal with life.
