2: Ponies are fun to train and feed. They are also fun to ride.
3: Ponies are mammals.
4: Other mammals are bobcats, tigers, and cats.
5: There are many species of ponies. Some examples are the Shetland Pony, Highland Pony, and Hackney Pony.
6: Ponies eat hay, grain, and plants. They eat much less food than a full-grown horse.
7: Ponies used to haul loads of coal. They are now used for riding by children.
8: Larger ponies can be ridden by adults. They are very strong.
9: Many ponies have very thick necks. They also have short legs.
10: A baby pony is called a foal.
11: Ponies usually live between 20 and 30 years.
12: Ponies can be very smart and friendly. Sometimes they can be very stubborn.
13: Many ponies compete in games. They are fun to watch.
