Interphase | Interphase is made up of g1,s,and g2 The cell spends most of it time in this stage
First Growth | Cell grows rapidly and carriers out routine functions
Synthesis | DNA is copied. Each chromosome consist of 2 chromatids held together by a centromere
Second Growth | Nuclues gets ready to divide and the cell grows more
Four phases of mitosis (PMAT): 1. Prophase 2. Metaphase 3. Anaphase 4. Telophase | Mitosis
Prophase | Two chromatids become visible. Nuclear membrane dissolves and spindle fibers forms
Metaphase | Chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell.
Anaphase | Centromeres divide and Chromosomes move towards opposite poles.
Telophase | Nuclear envelope forms at each pole. Chromosomes uncoil and the spindle fibers dissolves.
Cytokinesis | The cytoplasm divides and produces two daughter cells that are identical to the original cell.
