FC: All about Cells.

Normally called "the brain". It contains DNA, and a nucleolus. It's membrane bound and has pores. It's found in ALL eukaryotic cells. | Nucleolus

It provides ribosomes. It's located inside the nucleus . Found in eukaryotic cells. | Nucleolus

Long strands of DNA. It helps with the genetic code. It's found in ALL cells. Located in the nucleus. | Chromatin

Used in protein synthesis. It's not membrane bound. It's found in all cells. Free ribosomes are found throughout the cytoplasm, when attached are found on the ER. | Ribosomes

It's used for digestion enzymes. Destroys worn out organelles. | Made by the golgi bodies. | Found in Ekaroytic cells. | Located inside the cytoplasm.

Called "The Powerhouse" of a cell. It converts glucose into energy(ATP). More are found in cells that require most of the energy. Contains its own DNA. Located in th Cytoplasm of ALL eukaryotic cells. | Mitochondria

It's the site of photosyntheses. It produces sugar. | It contains a green pigment, makes plans green. | Located in the cytoplasm. Only in PLANT cells. | Chloroplast

Provides support and protection. It's found outside boundry of plant cells, fungus, and bacteria. Made up of cellulose and chitin in fungus. (Carbs) | Cell Wall

 It controls what enters and leaves the cell. It's found in ALL cells. It's selectively permeable. It's attached to proteins. | C | E | L | L | M | E | M | B | R | A | N | E

Is found in pairs. Located in the Cytoplasm. Used for cell division. It's composed of anchor microtubes. Only found in ANIMAL cells. | Centriole

Vacuole | Used to store food, water, & waste. Animals have lots of small vacuoles, when plants have one large. Found in ALL eukaryotic cells. May b e created by plasma membrane

Packages and modifies proteins and lipids. It's found in the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells. Called golgi apparatus, golgi bodies or golgi complex. | Golgi | Apparatus

Provides strength, support, and shape. | Made of microtubes and microfillements. | Found in ALL cells but prokaryoles. | Cytoskeleton

Used for locomotion. Cilia are found in numbers and move in a beating movement. Flagella are long and move whiplike. SOme cells have one, some have multiple. | Cilia & flagella

Used for transportation. Rough ER contains ribosomes, smooth does not. One end connects to the nucleus. Found in ALL eukaryotic cells. | Endoplasmic Reticulum
