FC: The Life of a Star Eric Kong

I dedicate this to all of my friends in the classroom.

In the Beginning as a Nebula: I start my life a a ball of gas and dust. Gravity pulls the gas and dust together into a ball. With increased pressure, I become denser and hotter in a process called nuclear fusion, where hydrogen changes to helium. As stars get older, we lose some of our material. Some of this material combines with more gas and dust to form new stars.

In My Childhood as a Main-Sequence Star: | I am now in the longest stage of my life. Energy is generated in the core as hydrogen atoms fuse into helium atoms. Energy radiating away from my body balances gravitational pull inward. As long as there is an ample supply of hydrogen atoms, I will maintain a stable size. The sun is also in this stage of the life cvcle!

An Adult as a Red Giant: Almost all of my hydrogen atoms inside of the core have fused into Helium atoms. Without Hydrogen, the core contracts under the force of my own gravity.

As I become into a white dwarf In my last stage in my life cycle. even though i become weak I have the same mass as the sun. i am a small hot star that is the leftover center of an older star. i also don't generate more energy.
