If you don't stop on your own, I will have to take matters into my own hands. There may be no one else on earth who can stop you, but I know I can. Without me, you are nothing. 12: EXPLANATION OF ARTIFACTS 1. Soap: Soap was a very important aspect throughout this book, as it provided a source of revenue for Project Mayhem through the Paper Street Soap Company. 2. Haiku: This artifact is written as a haiku, which the narrator enjoyed writing every once in a while. This one in particular explains the first two rules of fight club, which are don't talk about fight club. 3. Heart: Love was very important, as the author even wrote in the afterward that he would describe this book as a love story. The main love was between Marla Singer and the Narrator. 4. Napalm: Napalm is a very dangerous explosive which was a favorite of Project Mayhem. In the end of the story Tyler tried to blow up a skyscraper with it. 5. Smilie: This is a picture from the movie Fight Club in the scene where the member of Project Mayhem are taking down the sky scraper, and the entire country is in anarchy. 6. Boxing Gloves: These represent the actual Fight Club, where men would go to fight people for the pure joy of fighting, and this is where Tyler starts his plan of messing with the way the world currently worked. 7. Haiku: This haiku is about how Tyler and the Narrator are a part of the same person. The Narrator hates how Tyler has control over him and how no one else understands this. 8. Insomnia: This picture represents the insomnia that the Narrator experienced. He suffered from this because when he fell asleep Tyler took control of his body so he never could relax.

13: 9. Apartment: This is the Narrator's apartment which Tyler blew up. He did this to allow the Narrator to leave his old life behind and follow Tyler. 10. Letter: This is a letter from the Narrator to Tyler. It shows how the Narrator feels towards him at the end of the book, although he would never actually say this to Tyler's face. 11. Gold: Money is very important in this book, as the unequal distribution of wealth is something that gets Tyler very worked up and is one of his reasons for Project Mayhem. 12. Blood: Blood is found throughout the story, mainly when used to describe what happens to people after they attend Fight Club 13. Space Monkey: This was used as a metaphor very often in the end of the book for the people following Tyler. There are so many duplicates of the picture because of the multitude of followers that Tyler had. 14. Lye: This was used to mark the members of Project Mayhem, and forced them to experience and unbelievable amount of pain. 15. Restaurant: Both Tyler and the Narrator worked as a waiter in a fancy restaurant, and they hated the wealthy people who ate there and so they messed with their food. 16. Haiku: This haiku pronounces the love that the Narrator has for Marla, which he never wanted to admit. 17. Narrator and Marla: This is a picture from the movie which shows the two lovebirds together. 18. Scattered quotes: These are quotes from Tyler Durden throughout the book, who is very charismatic which is one way he received the trust of so many people.

24: A family is pieced together with hope and faith. A family is quilted and bound with love and grace.
