FC: george washington, carver
1: George was born in July 12, 1864 in Diamond Grove, Missouri. One night a band of raiders attacked his family. Days later, George found unharmed by neighbors. | George was interest in plants and was eager to learn about them more. George first fell in love with plants and Mother Nature.
2: He had a little garden near by the woods. He earned his nickname. His nickname is The Plant Doctor.
3: George formal education starts when he was twelve. He had tried to get in school in the past. Were he live there was No black schools available so he have to move.
4: George said good-bye to his adopted parents. He headed to Newton County in southwest Missouri. He worked in the farm to pay the school.
5: Shortly after, moving with another family to Fort Scott in Kansas. He got in Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, in 1890.
6: He had 175 sweet potato products and 60 pecan products. When he got older and sick in 1940 people donated 60,000 dollars to George Washington Carver foundation to save his life.
7: George continued working with peanuts, sweet potatoes, pecans to make new product. He developed over 300 products from peanuts (including smooth peanut butter).
8: George Washington Caver later died in 1/5/1946.
