FC: Haiku A collection of poems by Miss. Neely's class November 10, 2008

1: Haiku poetry is a very short form originating from Japan. It is very descriptive poetry almost like a photograph capturing a moment. Traditionally Haiku poetry is written about nature or the seasons. The Haiku form is seventeen syllables divided into three lines. The first line contains five syllables, with the next line containing seven syllables, followed by another five syllable line.

5: Birds take wing on high, gliding over angry waves back to their safe nests.

7: Green and speckled frogs hop from lily pads to logs splash into water

9: Slow rustle of leaves the wind blowing green and brown childhood memories.
