BC: O. Darby leaves the country shortly before the paper is published and goes to stay at a tropical island for a while. She has no intentions of leaving for quite some time and plans on telling very few people where she is, until she feels more secure and enough time has passed.
FC: The Pelican Brief
1: A | B
2: A. This is a banner and books for Tulane Law School. Darby Shaw was a student at this school when she wrote the pelican brief. She was second in her class, and if she had not gone to Tulane she may have never written the brief. B. Shortly after having written the brief Darby along with, her professor and lover Thomas Callahan, was returning home, but by a fluke only Callahan was in the car and a bomb went off destroying the car and killing Callahan.
3: C | D
4: C. These objects are to represent New Orleans. Darby is being hunted by killers at this point and she hides in New Orleans for several days. She is successful for a time, but her luck runs out over time. D. The hair products and sunglasses were used in Darby's disguise, as she constantly changed her appearance, so she is harder to identify by those seeking her out. The disguises work for a time, but her pursuers learn to recognize her anyway.
5: E | F
6: E. In her moment of need, right before Stump, one of the men seeking her out, captures her she comes across a kickoff party for the superbowl. When she calls for help three Saints fans come to her rescue and are able to stop Stump, saving her life. F. Darby learns during her escape that the credit card she has been using, to pay for food and hotels, is traceable and is helping the killers close in on her. She then withdraws a large sum of money to prevent leaving a trail.

8: G. While attempting to escape those sent to kill her Darby uses many different techniques to escape. One of these techniques was to by multiple plane tickets going to different places to fool her pursuers. When using this technique she decides to go to New York. H. Darby goes to New York at the last minute trying to trick the people who are following her, but while she is their she sees one of them. This leads to her swiftly leaving the city.

10: I. Darby makes contact with reporter Gray Grantham and arranges a meeting in which he interviews her about the Brief. The conversation is recorded with a tape recorder. This is when the story behind the brief is revealed. J. Darby and Gray later left for D.C. in order to obtain a second source for the story behind the Pelican Brief. This is also where Gray, a writer for the Washington Post, works.
11: K | L
12: K. Darby and Gray find a source who verifies the brief in a man who was killed. When he died he left a tape which verified everything they had suspected. This tape was the crucial evidence they needed. L. This note was written by high up men in an organization secretly lead by Mattiece the man behind the killings. The note mentions the killing of two supreme court justices, these killings were what the Pelican Brief was about.
13: M | N
14: M. Gray, assisted by Darby, writes the article about the Pelican Brief a story bigger then Watergate. They create the article on a computer and then print it out and have it sent to the presses. N. The story hits the paper and shocks the world with the story. The story is quickly picked up by major news networks across the country and D.C. is sent into shock.
