3: The declaration of independence separated us from the British. the author for the declaration of independence was Thomas Jefferson, john Adams, Benjamin franklin.on July 4th the delegates approved a final version of the declaration of independence
4: American revolution
5: in December 25 1776 Washington's army crossed the ice chocked Delaware river in small boats. when Washington reached Trenton they found the Hessian sleeping of their Christmas feast they captured 868 prisoners without loosing a single man
6: Creating the constitution
7: After the declaration of independence in 1776 congress tried to unite the states in to one nation government.their solution was a plan of government know as the articles of confederation.the articles gave congress several important powers.

13: manifest destiny inspired vast hopes and dreams among the Americans. Americans grew through settlements and war.

17: the civil war in the united states was a civil war fought over the secession of the confederate states.after four years of fighting confederacy surrender and slavery was outlawed
18: The reconstruction era
19: The Freedmen became second class citizens, while most Southern whites became embittered toward the North and formed a Democratic "Solid South." The deployment of the U.S. military was central to the establishment of Southern Reconstructed state governments and the suppression of violence against black and white voters.

21: During the first 30 years of the 1800s, American Industry was truly born. This new era introduced factories, with machines and predetermined tasks, producing items to be shipped and sold elsewhere.
