Opening Scene Music The Operatic type music which is used at the start of the production is used in a contrasting way with the modern day setting, to illustrate the story's past and future. As the opening progresses it goes into more recent music. Titles The titles are in simple, Traditional Font which again illustrates the story's past and when it was written. They only show the audience , the character's names not the actor's real names. Keeping idea that the story is real. Major Similarities In both Glitch and Rome & Juliet, journalism is used either through TV or newspaper clippings.

5: Glitch Opening Scene | the | Music Music used in the opening in Glitch is more recent music, quite alternative, outside the main stream music scene. This type of music represents the how our main character is a outsider of society. Titles Simple Titles that are based on Newspaper font. To further this idea the titles are typed. This is done to show his job or his passion of writing, Furthermore it give the audience clues to his background story. Major Differences Not an outsider because of family, but because of changes in society. Set in the near future , while Romeo and Juliet is set in the present.
7: The Cabin In The Woods Orchestral Music while titles and old fashioned pictures in blood appear. Cuts to a coffee machine which two men talking with ambient sound. Name comes up suddenly block red, to make you jump. Cuts to recent music, different people , last title comes up surrounded by blood. Alien Ambient sounds, slightly operatic for tension, titles futuristic in space. IRobot Ambient Sound, slight orchestral music softly behind water sound. Cuts to an alarm going off. North By NorthWest Orchestral music-fast tempo. Titles in block capitals. Hitchcock and Saul Bass.

Hollow Man Orchestral Music; Piano. Titles made out of floating letters on a petri dish, plus typed underneath. We used many of these film openings as creative inspiration to help us decide what type of titles we should use and what music should be involved. I believe that we have used features from typical sci-fi films to romantic films creating a new combination of both.
