1: The way slaves were treated The African Americans were treated very bad the were chained together and lying in a group on the pavement, awaiting shipment to the Southern slave market.

2: African slave trade Slave trade in Africa went for thousands of years. The first main route passed through the Sahara, going in to the Arab slave trade.

3: Slavery within Africa In most African societies, there was very little difference between the free peasants and the feudal vassal peasants.

4: Empires for slavery Vassals of the Songhai empire were used primarily in agriculture; they paid tribute to their masters in crop and service but they were slightly restricted in custom and convenience.
