Hey kids, I will be teaching you what Feminist Lense means and how to point it out in a story. Its easy and fun. I will be using examples from the famous book "Of Mice and Men" Here we go :)

Feminist: All rights of women equal to those of men. Or people doing lady-like things. Examples: Washing dishes, cleaning cooking, conservative, follows the stronger people.

In this book, Lennie is a large man, but has feminist qualities. He depends on the smaller, weaker man George. George always tells Lennie what to do "I...I ain't gonna...say a word." Lennie listens to George on everything (Steinbeck 15).

Lennie acts like a total girl when it comes to soft things, Men and supposed to be manly but he just loves those rabbits like a girl loves soft things. "George gonna say I done a bad thing. He won't let me tend the rabbits!" (Steinbeck 91).

Another example of this is when Lennie is attracted to Curley's wife, but only because of her soft hair.

Now lets see if you understand the difference between these two men, which of the two is feminist in this photo below???

Very good! Now which of these answers shows that this person is feminist? | 1. He likes to fight 2. He likes to clean 3. He does not care about getting dirty

See, feminist is a ladylike action or person. (Girls are really girly, but some men are like that also!
