3: Roosevelt offered $10 million for the panama land. which the columbian refused.

4: roosevelt sent a ship to help the panamanian rebels to fight for independence.

5: Panama accepted the money and gave U.S. control of the canla zone

6: Roosevelt had a method < he says he is living by his motto " speak softly and carry a big stick".

7: in 1960 riots broke out. panamanians demanded an end to U.S control of the canal.

8: in 1977 the panama and U.S. signed treaties giving back control to panama.
