We learned about ALL DIFFERENT kinds of PATTERNS. PATTERNS are all around us! They are in our classroom, around our school, outside in nature, and even on us. WOW!!! Here are some of our real world PATTERNS....
Behind us is an AB color pattern of black and white that we found in our school cafeteria during the 50's Sock Hop celebrating the 50th day of school. Zack, Hayden, and Blake found this one!
Look, Kaylee has a repeating pattern on her shirt! We noticed this during our nature walk in our hunt for patterns. We also noticed a pattern with the rocks. It went rock, cement, rock, cement, and so on...
Kollin painted a pattern on his take home "bug project" for a science lesson. He said, "My half lady bug & half bumble bee (bumble bug) has a stripped pattern of black & red on its body!"
During reading centers, Korbin made an ABB pattern out of his magnetic letters. Can you see it?
Kambrie made patterns with real objects... She made an AB pattern with her marshmallow chicks during the Easter party. She also made an ABC pattern with her speckled jelly beans. Now it's time to eat up the patterns! Can anyone predict a "sugar rush"?
And Next... Our Original Artwork & PATTERNS that we created
"I made a pattern of cool colors and warm colors during a leaf rubbing activity"~ by: Riley B.
"While creating my 'Adjective Monster' out of construction paper, I made a color pattern of blue and orange for the hair coming off my BIG SILLY MONSTER"~ by: Brooke P.
Hope you all enjoyed our Parade of Patterns! Did you see all the patterns we found and created?
