FC: Paul Revere By: Sarah, Marc, and Stephanie

Paul Revere: The Life Saver to the Colonists In 1774-1788 the British and the colonists had some problems working together. The British wanted to rule the colonists but they wanted to rule themselves. The British kept using the colonists as slaves, workers/employees, etc. The colonists said that they were sick and tired of getting bossed around. Paul Revere was a big hero to the colonists. He was great because he warned the colonists when the British was coming and when they left. Soon, the colonists were fighting with the British. This was called the American Revolution. Eventually, the colonists won the American Revolution. This means that the British had to stop ruling the colonists. Finally the British and colonists where happily separated. The colonists’ dreams came true of ruling their own life again. This was really the start of the United States of America. | By: Sarah

 Sarah Orne Paul revere's wife

April 19, 1775 Dear Diary, Last night my husband, Paul Revere, came riding down my street saying, “THE BRITISH ARE COMING THE BRITISH ARE COMING!” We are in a war so it was a dangerous time for him to do this. I hope he rides by again saying “The British are backing down”. This will be a happy day for the all the colonists - especially me. I also really hope he doesn’t get shot - that could be the worst thing to happen! This day may never come but my husband is sure to come back to me. Well I hope he does. Some people are starving because of the animals that the British stole and I know we can get them back as long as we colonists are alive. I’m scared of what could happen and I'm scared of the soldiers in my house. Sarah Revere

 John Singlton Copley

John Singleton Copley’s Life John Singleton Copley was an very interesting artist. He was an interesting artist because he painted Paul Revere in a silversmith shop. Copley liked to experiment with paint - he is very different from other artists. He likes to paint important people in the American history. Copley painted this picture because he got inspired by Paul Revere and his midnight ride. Copley painted this when he was only 23 years old. He said that he had a very good time painting Paul Revere because he painted Paul Revere not just because he found a random person and painted them but to paint the important Paul Revere! | By: Stephanie
