 Creators | Cindy | Nicole

 Train | Plane | Ferry

Automobile | Ways we get here...

 Plane

Planes are one of the major modes of transportation. To travel by plane is not only the fastest mode, but sometimes the only mode of getting somewhere. There is 1 plane for every 60 people.

One advantage to traveling by airplane is you get to rest and relax... and the travel time is quick enough that you don't have to listen to "are we there yet?"

Another advantage is getting a bird's eye view of the amazing surroundings.

The domed car is nice, but you just get to sit there. Traveling in the regular rail car allows you the freedom to walk around and get fresh air.

Train | The Alaska Railroad runs 470 miles from Seward to Fairbanks. Traveling by rail lets one sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenery as it passes by | Denali 'The Great One'. We lucked out and were able to see it from the train.

Hopped the Ferry in Bellingham, WA and traveled the Inside Passage to Haines, AK | Totem Poles of Ketchikan, AK | Downtown Juneau Alaska | Traveling is a great towns you wouldn't get to vehicle

View of Juneau and Mendenhall Glacier from the back of the Ferry | The Ferry docked in Wrangell Alaska | on the ferry way to see normally see and you bring your along too.

Traveling by automobile takes the longest, especially when traveling from the lower 48.

Catch up on your rest... as long as you're not the driver! | See the staples of American culture | Mt. Rushmore | Though it takes a long time to get to where you are going, there are plenty of things to do and see... | You can animal watch

Catch up on your reading | Experience the beauty of North America | See the unique places that the trail offers

We drove up with the UHaul towing the car and I was behind in the truck towing the boat | Moving is tiring It's rough when everything is packed and ready to go! | If you ain't the lead dog... the view doesn't change.

Stop at every roadside rest and use it as a picture opportunity | We're stopping again??

Alaska or Bust | But, no matter what mode of transportation we use to get to where we're going, we always end up in the same place...
