2: Geographical location The Plateau is the region between the Cascades and the Rocky Mountains. Plateau people lived high above the sea level. From Oregon, the Plateau stretches north into Canada and east into Montana. People of the Plateau lived in a dry desert covered in peaks. Elk and sheep roam among the rocks and trees.Overall, the location of the Plateau was very good for them to stay alive. | Plateau lived in a dry dessert.

4: The Plateau Natives ate lots of different foods. The Plateau ate wild plants like lily bulbs and biscuit root. They steamed the bulbs for days in pits in the ground. The root was boiled, mashed and formed into bricks. The bricks were baked into a kind of bread. The most common food that the Natives would love to eat is fish. Overall, the Natives had lots of delicious choices to eat. | Plateau Food

6: Plateau Shelter The Plateaus had one shelter. One of the shelters the Plateau Natives had were earth lodges. Earth Lodges were partly under the ground and they were 30 feet and 9 meters across. The Plateaus needed to go down a ladder in order to go into their houses becuase the door was on the roof of the house. Overall, Plateau Natives have an interesting shelter.

8: Native Clothing Early people of the Plateau made clothes out of bark and other plants. Women wore leggings under their dresses. Womens' dresses usually came up to their knee. Over all, the Natives were creative when it came to making the clothing they wore.

10: Plateau Transportation The Plateau Natives used the waters to get from place to place. Rivers wore one of the best ways to travel in the regions. The easiest way to go from place to place was going on a canoe. The canoes were made with a sharp point at the end. Most importantly, the water was important for the Plateau to live.
