BC: the end

FC: 1984 Poetry

2: Two Minutes Hate A grinding screech burst from the telescreen As the Two Minutes Hate started Images of Goldstein flashed on and created a frenzy As Big Brother's face melted away The three slogans of the Party stood out: War Is Peace Freedom Is Slavery Ignorance Is Strength

3: A Thought Shared As Winston glanced over at O'Brien They shared a momentary stare I am with you he seemed to share Winston then realized what he needed to do Down With Big Brother Down With Big Brother Down With Big Brother Down With Big Brother He wrote in his diary Already a knock at his door So soon! He thought

4: Room 101 In Room 101 Winston is tortured by rats Julia's betrayed

5: Rats The Proles and Party members are meaningless Drones in the inhuman cogs of Big Brother's machines They have become rats Trapped in Big Brother's cage Mindless, multiplying rats

6: Telescreen Winston always keeps his back turned towards the telescreen He never knows when they are watching Maybe all of the time Like an animal at the zoo Scrutinized every day and night No matter whether awake or asleep

7: Poster The face of Big Brother is everywhere On every landing and street corner His face calm behind a rugged mustache The eyes of the poster follow you Everywhere you walk
