Table of Contents: Page 1: Language Arts Page 2: My mother's kitchen Page 3: Self-Respect Page 4: Tribute to GSMST Page 5: Friends (Original Poem)

" The best class of the day" -Akhil Pendalwar | Language Arts The elements of language arts Reading and Writing Spelling and learning The most fun class of the day Comprehending and interpreting Failing and Succeeding The suspense awaits the start of the day Although I may not show that I am the best And the others get good grades on the test Language Arts is still the more fun than the rest | “The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep.” -Robert Frost

The tasty spices that sting | My Mother's Kitchen | In the spring, the mother’s kitchen With the golden oven mitten Is notorious for its food That is so wonderfully smooth In the summer the kitchen brings The tasty spices that sting And when the green grass grows It fills the house with light that glows The magnificently enormous sun That brings the summer fun Swimming, walking, talking and laughing Brings all of the wonders of playing When fall arrives eventually The clocks dive back treacherously The cool wind outdoors starts to bring a deathly chill The sense of joy starts to seem as if it was killed Winter arrives as the imposturous snow falls Giving that impression which is oh so false It seemed like there was no sense of love But the kitchen still brought the chocolate of love, Dove!!

Self- Respect | "Bitterness is like cancer. It eats upon the host. But anger is like fire. It burns it all clean." - Maya Angelou | Sometimes I get judged for my appearance, sometimes I don’t. Sometimes I will make a nice looking shot in basketball, sometimes I won’t. Depend on how people view me, I might even get laughed at sometimes. It really just depends on what people view me as. I’m not (the average) basketball player who can do crazy tricks. And I ain’t fast. But I learned that regardless of what people think of me, I will always make a nice shot in my heart Because I am a hard working player who tries and practices every day. I’m not professional. My worth is not determined by my speed or style. No matter what people think of me, I will always be a hardworking basketball player.

Tribute to GSMST I came here first wondering about you notorious name for homework I came here first wondering about your giant structure I came here first asking you if there were enough halls for me to lurk I came here first knowing that you would be enough for me when I cross the juncture Of the fire station and burger king I doubted if I would have enough time for the course load I doubted If many people would have showed up I doubted that you would have teachers that would help me I doubted if you would even have a small spelling bee Even though I was skeptical you were there for me So this is why I thank you All of your wonders were all true Please guide me on a way to success And people would think no less of me Thank you very much GSMST

Friends An Original Poem | Friends | I am sorry when we came to a bend I was always your best friend Time passed and you moved Time passed and I did not have enough time to prove That I was still your best friend Remember the time when we found that stone that lay on the grass? And do you remember our special lunch tray? And do you remember that day when you told me That you were moving away? But as we know it, Nothing Gold can ever stay In the end, I shall tell you my friend That regardless of the time you spend And as I know you will forget of our childhood memories I will always be your best friend
