FC: R.L.Stine By Ian Lecki
1: R.L. Stine was born on October 8, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio. His parents named him Robert Lawrence Stine.
2: R.L. Stine started writing when he was nine years old. His favorite author was Ray Bradbury.
3: Robert never did well in school and received mostly B's on his report cards. Classmates thought he was weird because he had a fear of jumping into water.
4: While at Ohio State, he edited the school's humor magazine, The Sundial. | R.L. Stine graduated from Ohio State University in 1965. | Soon after, he started writing comics and 101 Silly Monster Jokes.
5: People soon started to call him R.L. Stine. No one in Robert's family had ever called him R.L. , they always called him Bob.
6: With four hundred dollars R.L. moved to an apartment in Greenwich, New York.
7: A couple of year's later, while at a friend's party, he met Jane Waldhorn. They were married a few months later, on June 22, 1969.
8: Stine gets his ideas from movies, stories, dreams, memories, and out of thin air. | R. L. Stine traveled to Russia with First Lady Laura Bush to talk to children about his books and how he creates them.
9: It takes R. L. Stine approximately three days to create a plot and outline. It takes about eight days to write an entire Goosebumps book.
10: Stine considers his writing a job and to wind down he plays pinball in his New York apartment. | In his free time he also loves to spend time with his family.
11: R. L. Stine was voted best selling author for three years in a row. His Goosebumps stories were even turned into a t.v. show on the Hub.
12: Stine was given a Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Award and he won the Disney Kid's Choice award.

16: A boy named Jack | A boy named Jack is constantly being bullied on the bus ride home. One day he finds a phone and lying on the ground. When he picks it up he hears a voice on the other end.
17: The female voice on the phone knows Jack's name and the names of his family members. The phone also has pictures of his family on it. Jack learns where the voice is from and thinks all she wants is a friend.
18: It is not long before the voice is making Jack do things and is turning him into a criminal. Get the book and see if Jack gets away from the voice or becomes her friend forever.
