FC: The results of World War I
1: Soldiers left their families to serve their country. Each day they would go fight at war not knowing anything about them and hoping to receive a letter to know everything is alright back home. | World war one lead lo many effects.Many men had to leave their families. This was very hard and could not have seen their family in years. Many wondered how their loved ones were doing.
2: Many Soldiers fought for their countries in this tragic war. Millions passed away & others lived with the pain for the rest of their lives. | The United States along with other countries sent many troops to fight in WW1. Millions of lives were lost. About 3.5 Million soldiers died. Other than that, 116,000 USA troops died as well.
3: The soldiers suffered major traumas & disorders such as post traumatic stress disorder. This is a disorder caused by the violence at war & so makes soldiers have either nightmares, breakdowns, nervous attacks, or strokes.
4: Since Great Britain and Germany were such foes during WW1, they tried to starve eachother out. The British ultimately had a greater outcome when 800 Germans underwent starvation mode everday. | Due to such a strong impact, 80,000 lives were lost during the war due to shortage of food. Approximately 85% of children in Dusseldorf & 35% of children in Berlin died because no milk was available. | Germany faced many diseases during war. Such as malnutricion, diseases, hunger, & so on. It was a very difficult era for them & they suffered greatly. Even though WW1 had ended, they confronted poverty for many years later. This contributed for WW2 to happen.
5: In the Americas their domestic economy wasn't that bad like many people expected it to be. The war effort strengthened & helped improved farmers' agricultural prices to rise & the international market for their products expand.World War I dramatically changed the domestic and international economy and set the stage for the prosperity of the 1920s.
