2: Early Life | At thirteen years old he entered Oxford University, where he spent the next eight years. He eventually received an advanced arts degree. Roger Bacon taught at the University of Paris, France, on the teachings of the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle.

3: Continued | During this time he wrote three books on the study of how to reason correctly.Bacon was committed to the view that wisdom should contribute to the improvement of life. One of his books he wrote was named Opus Tertium .
