Soccer is the most popular sport. Like most people today, Russians love soccer. | Researched & Written by Talya

5: Russians like to play games. Most Russians know how to play chess. Russia has many chess players, who have the title of Grand Master.

6: Interesting Places or Things To Know | These are pictures of Red Square. It is the center of Moscow. Moscow is the capital of Russia. About 150 million people live in Russia.

7: Researched & Written by Grace | Nesting dolls (come from Russia) and are very popular around the world. Kids like nesting dolls because there are so many to collect. Nesting dolls are dolls you can take apart. There are about seven dolls in a nesting doll. | Saint Basil's Cathedral looks like a palace, but really it is a church. The cathedral's bright colors and onion-shaped domes have made it a national symbol of Russia.

8: Land and Animals | Lake Baikal is the oldest and deepest lake in the world. It is 36 million years old. It is 5,315 feet deep. | Lake Baikal is home to the Herpa. These freshwater seals do not live anywhere else in the world.

9: Amur Leopards are one of the rarest wildcats on Earth. There are only 30 left in the world. They live in eastern Russia. They can grow 13 feet long and weigh 700 lbs. | Researched & Written by Jaks | This is a reindeer. It lives in the tundra. Only female reindeer grow antlers.
