1: Steven Jobs was born on February 24, 1955, unnamed and given up for adoption by his parents, Abdulfattah Jandali and Joanne Simpson. When Jobs was 27 he was able to uncover information about his parents. he learned that shortly after he was given up for adoption his biological parent married and had another child, Mona Simpson. Steve was adopted as an infant by Clara and Paul Jobs, then named Steven Paul Jobs. They lived in Mountain View California. As a boy Steve's father would show him how to take a part and reconstruct electronics. When Jobs was in elementary school the administration proposed that he be moved to high school because he tested very well; however his parents declined this proposal. While in high school Jobs met a computer guru named Steve Wozniak. Wozniak was a brilliant computer engineer, both he and Jobs developed a great respect for each other. Jobs enrolled at Reed College in Portland, Oregon, dropping out six moths later. In 1974, Steve took a job as a video game designer with Atari. in 1976, when Jobs was 21, he and Wozniak started Apple Computers. Their first model of the Apple Computer earned them $774,000. In 1980, Apple Computers earned a market value of 1.2 billion no the very first day of trading. On October 5, 2011, Steve Jobs died at age 56.
