6: How to treat Strep | To treat strep throat, you can use these following antibiotics: penicillin, cephalexin, amoxicillin. You should drink plenty of fluids so you do not become dehydrated. Eating ice cream and Popsicles is also beneficial for the throat. OTCs such as Ibuprofen and Advil help too. For younger kids, gargling can be helpful with salt and water. These are some the ways to treat strep throat.
