FC: T-Rex "The Tyrant King" | By Mr. Love

Tyrannosaurus rex means "tyrant lizard king". He was named by Henry Fairfield Osborn in 1905. | How do I pronounce Tyrannosaurus? Tie-ran-owe-sore-uss

T-Rex was a carnivore. He ate large dinosaurs like Triceratops. He had cone-shaped serrated teeth that would continually grow back if lost, like a shark.

T rex was close to 40 feet long. He stood almost 20 feet high and weighed five to seven tons.

T-Rex lived in the Cretaceous Period. That was around 65-85 million years ago!

The Tyranosaurus had a life span of around 30 years. | The T.rex had very small arms, and two-fingered hands, which were most likely of little use.

I used www.enchantedlearning.com for researching information. I went to www.2billionkids.org to search for pictures.
