FC: Take Me Out to the Ball Game By Colin
Once upon a time there was a young athlete named Wilson. Wilson had a dream that one day he would play in Phillies Stadium, Citizens Bank Park. Wilson was an exceptional baseball player. He lived in California, and played baseball all year because it is always sunny in there. Every day he pushes himself to get better at baseball.
Wilson then went onto college to play baseball. He played for all four years of his college career. Then came Wilson's big day, draft day, he wanted to be picked by the Phillies so bad. During the second round the Phillies had the fifth pick, Wilson was with his family praying that the Phillies select him. Then it happened, the Phillies took Wilson, his dream came true.
The day Wilson had dreamt about all his life had come true. He was now a member of the Phillies. The first thing he did when he got to Philadelphia was an interview with the team before a game. He brought his whole family. The Phillies television station Comcast SportsNet did a special on Wilson and included the interview on television.
On August seventh Wilson had his first game with the Phillies. The Phillies were on track to win their division again for the fifth time in a row. Wilson was a left fielder. He invited his family to come to the game, and he got them box seats. It was against the Cardinals. His parents were so proud of him and all he had accomplished.
The game now started, the Phillies were home so they were in the field first. The first batter of the game hit a pop fly out to left field, Wilson ran in and made his first catch in the major league. The next half inning he got up to bat and hit a single to center field. Wilson played a very good game and the Phillies ended up winning the game four to one.
