In this novel the main setting is World War II and Adolf Hitler is trying at world domination. The Americans are trying to stop him in his track. A division of GI's are sent to the Schnee Eifel (Snow Mountains) and are told to destroy the Nazis. In the meantime, Hitler has almost died three times. The first is by an explosion injuring his leg, the second one by a sniper team equip with a Kar98k, and the third time is by a bazooka shot at his car. Hitler made many fueling stations out in the open and the Americans took advantage and bombed them all, stopping the Luftwaffe (German Air Force.) This tactic let the Americans have the upper hand in World War II and them win the Battle of the Bulge.
Kar98K Sniper | The one moral of this story is to tell you that America is the best country in the world. | The central idea of this story is to tell you that the Nazis were a horrible group of people and needed to wiped out.
Adolf Hitler- Nazi Germany's dictator. Referred to by the Nazis, The Fuhrer. Evil ruler trying to take over the world. General Hasso van Manteuffel- Commander of the German Fifth Panzer Army. 3 star General bent on killing Americans and keeping troops alive. Led his panzer division into the Schnee Eifel. Baron Friedrich von der Heydte (The Red Baron)- led the German air drop on December 17. Conspired in the plot of Hitler's life. Cousins with Klaus von Stauffenberg.
The Red Baron | General Manteuffel | Adolf Hitler
An external conflict is that Adolf Hitler is trying to take over and nobody has been able to kill him. He has ordered the Nazis to kill anyone who stands in their way. Which causes many internal conflicts for everybody such as fear for their lives and the concentration camps. | Conflicts
Resolutions | One American platoon goes in and kills over a half of a million Nazis. The Americans then find the fueling stations, mark them, and bomb them all. Hitler then runs back to Germany to rethink his strategy.
The author of this story is Stephen W. Sears. Stephen is the author of many books about many different wars. There isn't very much told about him other than that he respects and honors all soldiers in combat and all that have given their lives for our country.
Recommendation | I think that this is a great book and holds a ton of information. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and it never ceased to interest me. It mainly talks about the Nazi party, and not much is told about the American forces that worked behind the scenes to stop Adolf Hitler.
