FC: The Blackberry

1: The first Motorola Blackberry was launched in 1999. Since its initial production, it has come to feature a QWERTY keypad, email access, blackberry messenger and other instant applications.

2: Where did the name come from?

3: Research in Motion consulted Lexicon Branding in 2001 to select a name for the newly invented device. Finally, "Blackberry" was chosen because of the phones black color and small, seed-resembling QWERTY keys.

5: Blackberry Pearl est 1999 The first Blackberry, it was the size of a pager. It had email components as well as a personalized calendar. ( could not find photo )

6: Blackberry Curve est 2007 The Blackberry Curve was invented in 2007. It was told to have "everything you could ever look for in a cell phone." It included internet, Push To Talk capabilities, and GPS navigation.

9: Blackberry Bold est October 2008 The Blackberry Bold was considered the "business version" of Blackberry phones. With optional G3 internet, it has been considered the new and improved version of the Blackberry Curve.

11: Blackberrys Today Research in Motion began mass production of the Blackberry Storm in 2008. It is the first touch screen ever known to Blackberry. It mimics the iPhone capabilities and text messaging techniques. "Press and be impressed" with the extensive multimedia features of this smartphone.
