S: The CIA Theory; Who Killed JFK?
FC: The JFK Assassination | What really happened? | The CIA Theory | By Michaela Zoebisch 136986
1: So who are your suspects? | In this theory, the CIA is the prime suspect. Most likely they had help of former Marine Lee Harvey Oswald. The purpose of this was probably so HE would take the blame instead of the CIA. | Ok, but who can support this theory? | Many of the people in the plaza where JFK's limo drove through stated that they heard more than three shots. The report by investigators only states that there were three shots taken, two of which hit the President. Admiral Osborne also claimed that he saw a bullet fall out of the wrappings of Kennedy, but where did that go? All of these missing peices of evidence show signs of carelessness, but the question is, where they intentional.
2: Why would the CIA do such a thing to their own President? | Their motives were disagreements between the Kennedy family and the CIA. Previously, they had gotten along well. Then JFK became angry at them because of the disaster of the 1961 Bay Of Pigs invasion (set up by the CIA) and threatened to "smash the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it into the wind." He fired the director of the CIA and his deputies. If the power-hungry CIA killed him, they would finally have JFK out of their hair. Take note that they were not the same CIA as they are today, they were much tougher and believed differently. I do not think they would have the guts to pull off this again.
3: JFK was a beloved president, not many people hated him. He is known for many inspirational quotes.
4: Why should I believe this theory? | There are many reasons to believe this theory. The general "carelessness" of the planning of his procession is almost too much to believe. There was no police escort in front of him, the secret service agents were asked to not ride on the limo, the limo had no cover, and some of the windows on the buildings on the sides of the road were open. Once they had taken the already dead President to the hospital, they brought him back to DC to have the autopsy done by doctors who had never performed one before, instead of in Dallas. The bullet that hit him first entered through the back and exited through his throat, shot most likely by Oswald from a building in behind. In the tape of the shooting, though, the fatal wound was clearly shot from in front. It entered his right temple and exited at the back of the head, portrayed by the way his body was thrown. The accused Oswald was later shot and killed, maybe so he couldn't give away any secrets?
5: The President's limousine had no cover, it was exposed to everyone.
6: Your theory sounds pretty good so far, but what are some questionable facts? | It is kind of hard to believe that our own CIA would do this. Sure, they'd lie, steal, assassinate other countries' leaders, but would they really try to kill their own president? Understandably, they did not want their plans for the future hindered in any way. Also, they never found the other assassins that could have shot him. They could have been disposed of. It is unknown that Oswald was ever a CIA employee, and could be irrational at times.
8: Many other people believe this theory as well. Just look at this poll that was found on a website. More than half of the people who took it answered with "The CIA."
