2: The Puritans decided to leave England because they wanted to reform the church by by having easier practices of worshiping.There were many problems with the Massachusetts colony like they didn't like when people would question there religious beliefs and governing the colony.

3: The Puritans and the Native Americans fought because the English people took there land little by little. The towns and villages were important to in New England lifestyles because they thought that people should worship and tend to local matters as a community.

4: The colony of New Netherland became the colony of New York because they were ready to fight but they had little gunpowder and they gave up without a shot. New Jersey separated from New York because The Duke of York thought that it was way to hard to govern by himself because it was so big.

5: Pennsylvania was founded by William Penn who became a Quaker which people didnt like. They brought many African slaves to Philadelphia, the capital. Life in the Middle Colony was good, the mostly farmed to make there money.

6: Maryland's religious beginnings were where Catholics could practice their religion because of Calvert. The Carolinas were founded by eight English men who received a grant from the King. Georgia was founded by James Oglethorpe and the debtors lived there to have a new start.

7: LIfe developed in the Southern colonies because they wanted a better life and they wanted to be able to practice there religion freely.
