FC: The Great Depression. 1932-1937

The great depression was caused mainly because of the stock market crash, which led to unemployment and poverty all over.

The great depression lasted for about a decade from the beginning of the 1930's to the end around about 1937.

During the depression life was hard. People lost jobs, food, and homes. They had to do everything they could to survive. Eating at soup kitchens, and working to get a small amount of money to support themselves and their families.

The whole world was hit and effected by the great depression. Unemployment rates were at an all time high. The poor had less than they ever had, and the rich were hit hard because they lost a whole lot, when they were used to having so much.

During the Recession of 1937 the Great Depression began to end, and things began to run more smoothly. | Employment rates went up, and people gained back their jobs, and began to live a little easier, however it took quite some time before things began to get back to normal.
